Schoots wants money, that's why it's taking so long. It's a not a big deal. Agents want their cut, specially in these "free" transfers. Eriksen can be considered free agent transfer because he's one next summer and can negotiate such contract already. Schoots wants 10m€ and we're going pay him that (or close to that). Then we are also paying to Spurs for the 6 months loan basically and to make absolutely certain we book Eriksen for ourselves.

This doesn't change what Eriksen party wants in this deal which is big salary and big commission and it's perfectly normal. Agents are the matchmakers and that cost money to clubs who want to acquire the services of the players. Bigger the player, bigger the commissions, generally.
