Alberto Zaccheroni has confirmed he is resigning from Internazionale, with Roberto Mancini tipped to replace him as coach.
The Neroazzurri boss has been under pressure with Massimo Moratti understood to have held talks with Lazio's Mancini after targeting the up-and-coming Italian.
"I resign because, despite having the support of president Giacinto Facchetti, I haven't seen the club's faith towards me in the talks with Moratti," Zaccheroni told Corriere dello Sport.
"I leave because nobody informed me about the market operations.
"I'm sorry to leave this bench, ending this adventure in this way.
"I came during the season, with the conviction to be able to play with my possibilities. My professional history shows that, when I had the possibility to work from the beginning of the season, I have never lacked results.
"I arrived here when Inter were eighth in the league, I finished fourth but this hasn't been enough.
"In the UEFA Champions League, we have been eliminated by Lokomotiv Moscow while, in the Coppa Italia, we went out only in the semi-finals with Juventus on penalties.
"I remain convinced that, with only a few changes, we would have become competitive on a high level."
i feel sorry for him...why did he leave...lol...YEAH!!!
