We can't spend 12 million euros on Pizarro and then buy Veron from Chelsea as well...that would be ludicrous because all of our cash would go down the drain. I hope that Veron is allowed to return to Chelsea now that this deal has practically been sealed. Veron and Pizarro are equal in my book, but Pizarro has youth on his side. As for each player having to have a back up there is such a thing as players swapping positions you know. If Pizarro is unavailable we just go for two DM's in Cambiasso and CZ or we play Deki or Karagounis.

Don't get me wrong, I prefer Pizarro over Veron and find him an extraordinary player.

About Pizarro, the ongoing rumors of cASSano joining us is making me re-think. If we get cASSano and play him as an LW, then Stan will be our choice as Veron's backup in CM, and knowing Mancio he might prefer him to VDM as a RW.

So, getting cASSano might complicate everything, and it maybe true that we are getting Pizarro to get cASSano.

BTW Pravesh, do you still have the receipt from the Pizarro deal? We might have to return him

I dun think that we will play Cassano in the left wing. He isn't a winger , so I really doubt on that.

I agree with Jimmy when he said that we have Stankovic, why need Veron/Pizarro. Indeed, I used to say that all the time this season, but I just realized that Mancini doesn't want to play Stan in the middle. Even in the recent interview, he didn't speak a word about Stankovic or Emre to play in the middle. So, I do think that Stankovic will play in the wing next season as well.

Like I said in another thread (and that's why I think we should unify the threads) he can play like a Zidane or a Nedved. Players that aren't necessirly LW's but who can play as such.

There are few exceptional players that can do that, and cASSano is one of them. He can defend well as well, but he will have to be supported by a good LB.

I repeat, for Cassano to work on the LW we'll need a GREAT LB! Very talented both defensively and offensively, and with a decent cross.

I really doubt that rumours of us offloading Pizarro straight away for Cassano are true and if they are I don't want to see him on the left wing .

Rumours are saying that it doesn't seem to be easy now to get Veron for next season. As Veron's not willing to have a paycut like he did for the just concluded season. I guess, Veron agreed for pay-cut when he first joined us, coz he needed to play. But now, after having a good season; he's not willing to reduce his wage. May be he thinks that Inter needs him now and would be ready to give him $$ ??

Anywaz, it's not a big deal; there's always Pizarro, if we can't sign him. Or Stankovic is always there as well.

if we offer veron 2 year deal with 2 more millions on his contract that is 4 million more in 2 years...and if we buy pizarro its 9 millions transfer...so its cheaper to agree on veron contract-wish.
lets sit and wait june 15th and then the signings will start

Nah not really cause you have to remember that Pizarro is 5 years younger. he might coast us 9 mill.

And rumour says that Veron will coast us about 5 million. And he would max be here for 2 years and his wage would be bigger then the like of Pizaro because of his name.

so thats 4 million more for Pizarro over 5 more years.

so Veron will coast us 9 million + his courent wage. "two years"

Pizarro will coast us 9 million plus wage for 7 years. so in the long run he would be cheaper.

And that is without naming the prize for a new playmaker after Veron leaves. So Pizarro would be a hell lot cheaper over a periode of 7 years then Veron "two years" and a new playmaker "5 years"

u didn count pizarro contract wages...after 1,2 good years with us he will ask for more money just like veron is...
but this is stupid to talk about.
i prefere veron over david, my second choice is david so,..its great to have one of them
