Looked like a different player in the second half, that's because he had more freedom and opportunities due to Lecce's lack of tactical discpline. Our second goal basically destroyed their spirit which led to them being completely vulnerable in the upcoming mins. He's always a threat in these situations, but sadly once opponent team remains tactically discplined, his limited technical ability and lack of awareness comes into spotlight.
Agreed. He is better in open games. That’s why he is a good impact player. Once the game is more stretched and he has space he can utilize his physical attributes and his technical limitations are less apparent. Also in situations where we are leading he can be a threat on the counter.

He would probably thrive in the EPL tbh.

Quite looking forward to the addition of Zielinski next year. I think his style would bring more out of Frattesi.

Against Lecce, Frattesi showed that he excels in the areas we know he can excel: goal contributions.

However he did little to prove that he’s patched up his known weaknesses. He was frantic in possession, did little to help build up play from the back and generally gave the impression that he doesn’t fit the system yet.

Having said that, these are all traits which he can learn over time, he clearly has the skills.

We saw how much a player like Asllani has improved just from training with the squad for a year. I expect we’ll see the same with Frattesi over time. In any case, an amazing supersub to have off the bench.

He is doing better. Still not there, but seeing how on and off Mhkitaryan has been this season and we keep winning, I don't think he has to worry. He'll play a lot more football for us next season.

Agreed.

I'll just add that he hasn't had many opportunities to play with our "1st team". Pretty much every appearance he has made from the start had 4-5 rotational players. I think the only time he started with the first team was away against Empoli and that was the most defensive team we've played this season (that particular match).

I agree he's not a fit for the team as of yet, but I really like his strengths and each team needs a different option for certain situations. He definitely flourishes more in open games. The good thing is that teams in Serie A aren't necessarily as defensive as they were in the past. Even Lecce yesterday did not just sit back - they actually pressed high and had a fairly high line, so Frattesi can make the difference in a lot of matches.

Another great thing about him is his mentality - sometimes players that join a big club in their first season can struggle a bit with the mentality and expectations. He seems the opposite - like he thrives for the big matches/moments. I get the same vibe from Carlos Augusto - I'm sure the management looks for those characteristics as well so kudos to them.

He’d be a force in the EPL I reckon. He has good pace, he’s athletic and he loves to bomb forward in open games. I’m not sure if he’ll ever truly fit into Inzaghi’s style of football but he’s a fantastic option off the bench at the very least.

Frattesi : "I have never regretted choosing Inter. I have to make my own journey, the level is very high. I didn't think I would be a starter straight away, I would have been stupid. If I want to aim to be a starter in the future, I have to improve in construction. The model is #Barella "

#Arnautovic is important behind the scenes, now he has to pay. Before Atletico Madrid, he, I, #Asllani and Carlos Augusto decided that for every goal, whoever scores gives a gift to the other three. We are waiting, but with the goal in Lecce it will be my turn too"

Great mentality there. Tucked his tail in despite having a marquee signing kind of transfer fee and always give 100% whenever he's on the pitch.

It's very encouraging that he realizes the issue and he will try to improve himself most probably.
Because some players like to put the blame on the coach when they don't play enough.

It's time to put Miki on the bench this season, Hakan-Barella-Frattesi :interflag2::interflag::interscarf::interscarf2::interscarf::interflag2::interflag:

The Barella example is pretty good, Fratessi will become the second best Box-To-Box Italian midfielder, only after Barella.
I hope he scores a screamer soon so we can compare him to Valverde from Madrid.
