santons at his worse is far worse than pereira. at least pereira is okay defensively, and a bit invisible. santon was actually very deterimental to our play. remember that game against palermo where he came on at half time, we were 4-0? up, and then we conceeded like 3 goals in 20 minutes all from santons side? sums it up nicely.
i much rather pereira over santon, tbh. santons recent semi revival is testimonial of moving to newcastle in a less pressure side than anything... he was never going to cut it at inter, his mentality was just in the wrong place. he didnt pull himself up, but rather, let the depression get to him and it just went on a downward spiral.

it has to be said, the only reason anyone gives a shit about santon is a run of 16 consecutive games nearly 3 years ago. thats it.

aside from those 16 games, he doesnt deserve any placement over, say, natalino, hes just played more games to the same level... tbh, i think faraoni is better than him. less spectacular so far, but solid, plays alot... who does that remind you of? obi... one of the quietest players in recent times to have clocked up over 50 appearances... its not always the ones you expect..
