Not sure about this mate, I would love to see Santon in top form before the match against Chelsea but still it's a risk to include Santon as LB, because Bosingwa can be very dangerous and he may beat Santon in majority, his crosses could be nightmare for us, because there is Drogba.

But I'm not sure what we can do about LB, Zanetti was great against Rubin Kazan and this makes me a bit confused, I'm not sure if we should play Zanetti as LB over Santon.

Hope he(Santon) will prove us soon, that we may trust him against Chelsea.

well, Santon defended really well against the best RW on the world, CR7 last season against M.Utd. so I think he can do really well

What a great performance by Santon tonight, really he was fantastic with his runs and dribbles.. he is in form and that's great. I hope that he'll continue to play like this.. for next match I hope that he'll be starter in formation instead of Cordoba, I can say that Santon was very better than Cordoba..

For me Santon was best player tonight, he did fantastic job from left side.

i have a feeling GdS try to underrate him.
Last 2 were his best games so far this season, and he got 6 both occasion.

He was good yesterday, he started to feel confidence, i think. He tried the dribbles and managed, and even made a left footed cross in the end, which could be an assist if Matrix headed home the ball.

He has been putting in some notable performances lately maybe because he's behaving like a true professional again. Rumours here say he has been partying and boozing a lot and that's why Josè sidelined him at the beginning of the season. He has all the potential to become an extraordinary fullback.

Exactly. While watching the game, I felt 'ohh..there he would try to cut in again and the defenders are waiting for it'. And then out of the blue :star:

I like him cutting in and its fine if his left isn't the best. But time and again he needs to put in one such cross just to add to his unpredictability.
