Good to see Pod back! I thought confirming Mancini and letting Capello go was too much for you :D

Stefan, I hope that happens. Pasqual is better and younger than Grosso. But getting Pasqual will be tough, we have to buy his half from that small team and then outbid Fiorentina. This can be another one of those God-forbid tough tasks for Branca and Oriali.

Grosso-ok, Pasqual-even better, but why aren't we thinking of Zambrotta?
By his side even Maxwell would be just a sub..

Feels nie to be back. Months go by sooo fast. Anywayz I'm hoping we sign Grosso and finally end our LB problems once and for all. I think if we sign Grosso our probs will end. I'm guessing there's only days left with such open talk by the club about trying to sign him.

Zambrotta would be a pipe-dream, even if Gobbi go down. The vultures would circle the big name players before Branca even knew what hit him. Anyways, I'd be ecstatic if we somehow got Pasqual, but will it happen? Nope.

Good to see the likes of MoH, Pod and SB9 posting again. Welcome back boys.

I thought Grosso is useful addtion for our squad.

Could I image that Javier is at right and Zambrotta is at the left ambitiously?

Welcome back. I agree with you, Grosso would definately be a solid signing, but I won't be as big of a fan if Maxwell is relegated to the bench and is one of those players mysteriously underutilized or incorrectly by Mancio, ala Santiago Solari. He's much too talented on the left side to be kept on the bench, IMO.

If not, then it's a non-factor and we've got ourselves a solid Italian international. What's not to love?

Hamed I want you to clarify this for me once and for all. How exactly is Pasqual better than Grosso? The latter has played at a high level for an extended period of time and has been recognized for it by getting called up to the national team. The other has had one above average season in which he was one of the stand outs on an otherwise seemingly mediocre team.

Grosso is a tad on the slow side and can get caught out of position on occasion but his crosses are sickeningly accurate both from close range and from a deep position. While Pasqual also has a great crossing foot his relative inexperience and the fact that he was basically unknown this time last year forces me to take and air of caution when considering him as a viable option.

Sure he is younger than Grosso but right now I dont think that is that much of an advantage when taking into account Inter's woeful attempts at developing promising young talents. If Pasqual could replicate his performances in the black and blue I would be ecstatic but right now I would go with the safer bet and stick with Grosso.

PS: I believe the article about possibly going after Pasqual is a smokescreen used by Inter to try and pressure Palermo into a deal. Making sure to let them know Inter are keeping their options open and are not going to get suckered into any deal which they deem unfit. If all goes well Grosso should be transfered befiore the WC. At least that is the only logical conclusion I can come to from the situation.

Yeah Grosso is an okay signing, but if, and this is huge if, Zambrotta becomes available, then we have made a huge mistake, Zambrotta is just several levels better then Grosso. but there are two solutions for that either to use him as our LM or use him as our RB and then move J.Z up as our RM. of course we could still use him as our LB but
I don't think Grosso would be very satisfied with that. so who ever come then the Grosso deal would make no sense. and it would be kinda stupid to have 1 WC LB in Zambrotta and then as his subs Maxwell and Grosso.

anyway it would be my dream to have Zambrotta in my team, unfortunately if juve goes down I see him joining Milan, since they have the exact same problem as we do. they need a LB.

Grosso is slow even at 28-29, imagine how he'd be at 31-32?

Sometimes you have to gamble, and if Pasqual looks like a gamble, so be it.

If we get Grosso, I assure you that we will be looking for another LB in 2 seasons or so.

I would chose zambrotta without thinking but if it is down to grosso or pasqual I would chose pasqual. Didn't see too much of him but looked promising. And is young

Most importat thing I look for at fullback is his agility and pace. Pasqual is better on it then grosso
but even if grosso comes I wouldnt be sad at all

Would I by funny if I say that gael clichy from arsenal is best new coming left fullback in europe, cause I really think so.
We wont get him, arsenal wont sell him, but I just wanted to say it

if Palermo does not want to sell him to us for less than 9mil then we should go for Zambrotta.

Hope not, there is no need to get any RB, JZ is always there, and if he is injured Burdisso and Andreolli can do it ok there.

Reveillere is more defensive than offensive. He has a good one-year spell at Valencia I believe. However, I doubt Lyon would sell him.

Marti, I saw Clichy few times and I was impressed. Arsenal can really sell Cole and it won't be a big problem, but I want Cole. I don't know if Clichy is versatile, but I bet Wenger has something up his sleeve.

Cole will probably go to real madrid if carlos goes to chelsea, cliche WILL BE arsenal's starter if cole leaves.

I think maxwell and grosso would be great for our LB position.
