It seems like he’s been nursing something for a while. Really bad timing. We’ve been pretty good with injuries historically though, I guess it’s just our turn to feel the squeeze. This is what going deep in every competition will do to you, it all catches up eventually.

Yup - injuries will happen. Kind of crazy to think that at this point, we have 8 fit midfielders and 2 fit centrebacks (Bastoni not fully fit yet I'm assuming).

Seems we might go RWB shopping in January, boys! Maybe Bisseck can be Cuadrado's bench option. I'd rather keep playing Darmian as RCB until Pavard comes back.

I was wondering if Frattesi can take Dumfries spot temporarily?
He seems better siut for there than Bisseck.

I‘ve wondered about this.

The Italy match I watched against Ukraine, he played on the right wing and completely tore ass.

We do currently have 8 midfielders for 3 starting spots. So in an emergency situation, if any of our midfielders can 'in theory' play the wingback position it would be Frattesi. Obviously it would be a very difficult task but in an emergency scenario it would be an option.

Well if Frattesi could play rwb that would be fucking great, my only concern is how good defensively he can be.

Well if Frattesi could play rwb that would be fucking great, my only concern is how good defensively he can be.

He seems to have good sense of defending since he tends to win balls, physical duels and everything else but his lack of awareness in overall is worrying. His stamina rocks, also has that grinta on himself so it's kind of tricky shot. Maybe trying him as RWB isn't worst idea ever (in case of emergency).

Augusto as LCB seems like a safe bet. I dunno how a huge gamble it would be, but Augusto, Acerbi and Bisseck as CB's alongside Dimarco and Darmian as wingbacks might be good enough against Udinese.

They will likely sit back and try to hit us on counters. Augusto and Bisseck are both relatively fast. Acerbi is there as a mentor, while both Darmian and Dimarco are reliable wingbacks, so...

Let's see what Limone will decide, but I don't think we'll be having huge issues defensively. Our heavier task will be breaking their defence since they are physically very strong and also rather superior in size compared to our attacking department.

DiMarco agreeing 4M€ with twice the goals and assists every year and this guy wants 5M€ net.

We are looking at a sale in the summer tbh

So we are as it seem out of De Vrij, Dumfries and Pavard likely for the rest of the year. The two are already set at 3 weeks so yeah they out until January.

Hopefully Cuadrado don’t break… although my hope for that is paper thin.

And we better hope Darmian and Acerbi stay healthy and ready for 90min every game from now on until January because there no one to replace them.

Augusto must be tried at LCB because there really none of the remaining who would be all to comfortable at this and we need Darmian at the other side. Bastoni better get fit for fight soon…

Thank god we have so much quality dept in defence it’s really what save us right now.

One of these two is from milano and a interista since he s a little kid....

Di Marco is one of the rare cases where we ll get a home town discount despite him being a beast of a player....

Anyways i think 4 to 4.5 for dumfries aint over the top... Then again i also would not be too upset if we sell him for 30 mio plus...

Dumfries' agent would be fool not to ask 5M. He will accept less but this is basic negotiations 101. When do you guys learn? :D

If he can find a club paying 5M net to him, I'm sure we're happy to sell him.

I feel like Barella would be the best RWB option from the midfielders we have. He slots there many times already.

When we start the play from the back, many times we see Dimarco or Dumfries up there almost in line with the 2 strikers, and we see Barella in the left or the right wing to recieve the ball, he is pretty versatile and faster than Mikhi or Fratessi so it makes sense.

Exactly what Alex said. You see Barella in the space where you expect Dumfries, while the Dutchman goes forward. Mkhi and Hakan also come a lot closer to the ball in those cases, giving Dimarco and Bastoni space to go forward for a potential long ball.

Barella has everything to be a good RWB if needed.
