My greater point is, I don't think Juan's argument is so laughable.

Alvarez playing not so good -> ppl "he sucks! why we got such a talentless crap at Inter?" "Yeah, I agree!"
Forlan playing not so good -> ppl "Well, he's not just in form but still a world class player!" "Yeah, he's great...! (in the past)".

We can definitely see some bias in Forlan's case. Not that I'd call Forlan crap, nor do I lack respect for his career, but unlike Sneijder, he is not somebody I think of as Inter's last piece to go further on the table. I'd be happy if I turn out wrong and he eventually contribute lots to us.

it seems like your talking out of no where... yes there is obviously bias in forlans case. he was voted one of the best players at the world cup less then 2 years ago and every time he steps onto the football field he literally doubles the limit of our offense. not only with his amazing unselfish ability to see the game but also his eye for goal from just about anywhere.
ricky is completely new and proving himself to the world, so his performances are more crucially scrutinized. and they are at the opposite ends of their careers..

the only thing disappointing is him being injured because once he is back, we will see his worth in some beautiful goals...
assuming he is ever not injured..

I actually knew nothing about his days at AM and didn't watch his single game at Copa, but what little I watched doesn't really convince me that he is as good as hyped. I know he was so often injured and isn't in form, but my impression is yet another selfish guy with no quality. Eto was selfish too, but had quality.

If you haven't seen him play very often, how can you even pass judgment on him? He's had a poor year due to injuries but if you saw him during the WC or before that with Atletico you can tell there is quality. And he's certainly not selfish.

Admittedly I'm a big Forlan fan so I may be a little biased but I don't think he should be regarded as a bad player when he hasn't even had a long enough string of games for you guys yet.

Couldn't agree more.....but on the flip side Visca......how long do you wait before you call it a bad signing? Regardless of his skill, if he can't stay healthy its not a very good investment. I love Forlan I really do, but he's not helping the team much being on the injury list for 9/10ths of the year

Wasn't he only 5m or something though? It's not like it's Torres or Carroll or some other overpriced signing that plays like shit. Are his wages very high?

The thing is Forlan hasn't played at ALL. I really like Forlan and I hope he shows his worth playing for INTER, not only for his national team (where he returned injured... only to get injured later while training).

Even forlan spent over 2 months to recover his one knee, meanwhile the other knee should also be rested. It is ridiculous that his second knee stroke instantly when he resume the training. Only forlan knows what he did for his left knee during 2 months.
