I don't understand why Inter would have anything to do with Simeone's contract and Atletico Madrid. It's not like Inter had anything to do with him signing as their coach? Right?

Let's say that that clause is real. If so, it was probably Simeone's doing, most likely after Moratti promised him the coach position in the future and he just wanted to be prepared if the offer came. The promise could've come when Inter was at the top of football, something that's attractive to any coach. He did sign a renewal recently but could simply mean that the clause wasn't removed on the renewal.

That's all speculation anyhow cause I seriously doubt he has that clause. There were reports last year about Mancini having a similar clause related to PSG. Mancio refused all the press claims.

I can see him coaching Inter in the future. I don't think it'll be for the next 5 years, but I could see him at some point.

I think for him it's best to stay Atletico for the next years. He's managed to make the competitive, and I have the feeling as soon as he leaves they may fall apart. It's important he gives them the consistency and belief they can fight out with the best. Even finishing 2nd instead of 3rd in La Liga is important for their belief and I think Simeone wants to instill in the team that they always need to fight until the end and showing they are competitive.

Hopefully he wins the Champions League.

With him against stating his love for the club, and the fact he wants to return one day soon, I can see him coming sooner rather than later. Mancini will no doubt be offered the Italy job, which I believe he will accept, and then return to England after. It is Mancini's out, and if we get new investors, im sure Simeone is at the top of the list to replace him, along with Zanetti, Moratti and co, whom Simeone is in close contact with on a daily basis.

Do you guys think it's likely that he leaves Atletico if they win UCL or will the win make him stay there even longer?

If Barca slip up in the league, and Atletico win both the CL and La Liga, then it would make sense if he decided to leave on a high. It doesn't get better than that (unless you win the treble like we did :pazzini:)

Isnt it strange that Figc still dont decided who the new Italy coach will be? True, they have time. But its not bad if the new coach can already see what players he will use. So it seems like they wait for Ranieri or Mancini.. im sure!

The amount of money he spent, minus all the money he received from selling players to other clubs.
