We have to wish for Conte to Chelsea and Mancio (for some odd reason) to NT for this to happen and even then our odds of getting him arent great

Well, he has mentioned several times that he dreams of coaching Inter one day.

Plus, he's been at Athletico for 4-5 years now and it might be the right time for a new challenge.

Inter is really the only other logical club destination for Simeone should he leave although it's hard to imagine he's in any rush to leave Spain yet. Los Albicelestes would be an interesting move as well

Have to disagree, can't imagine it being fun to coach in a league where you have Real and Barca as your competition. He's done way more than anyone could have ever asked or imagined of him, I'd say it's time for a new challenge.

Which also makes me think that Emery is an unambitious coach (out of topic, I know)! Because if he has received offers from abroad (and you'd think he did) but still stayed in Spain then I can't find another explanation, especially when you consider that he had an average playing career and therefore should be more motivated to establish himself as a great coach. Yet he went to Sevilla (a smaller club) after having a good spell with Valencia!

Every competition has only 1 winner, being 2nd or 4th doesn't mean you lack ambition - especially since both Atletico & Sevilla are successful, competitive & showing no signs of letting up

And for now, Primera is demonstrating how much quality there is despite far less money than the top clubs. Villarreal, Celta Vigo &Atletico have great coaches, teams and can compete against just about any club

I was strictly talking about the league.

Good coaches like Emery (and of course Simoene) can easily manage sides in the PL where they have more and better resources and be more competitive domestically.

Pep -> Man City
Cunte -> Chelsea
Mou -> Man Utd

He won't go to RM. If he was to move I'd think it's between us and PSG.

I'd want him mainly for the dressing room. Mancini is a whiny little bitch. We need a tough guy to scare the shit out of these lazy players.

CORSPORT-WITHOUT CL MANCINI CERTAINLY LEAVING.ONE COACH IN THE LEAD WITH 3 ALTERNATIVES

Roberto Mancini leaving Inter without the Champions. And 'the certainty of the Corriere dello Sport, that "the former coach of Manchester City has a contract expiring on 30 June 2017 but there was no talk of renewal. Without Champions League, and now seems like a daunting task given that Spalletti's Roma and Fiorentina have a higher gear, Mancini will leave Inter. To replace him, in pole position, there is Diego Pablo Simeone, an old acquaintance of the Nerazzurri and the Italian championship. The Argentine knows the square and has an enviable curriculum developed on the bench of Atletico Madrid: the former coach of Catania would be ideal to boost the Beloved although Aids and society have promptly denied. Secondly there is the old ball of Thohir: Frank de Boer who is making egregious things with Ajax and knows how to work with young people. The Italian alternative lead to Vincenzo Montella and Eusebio Di Francesco, who is doing very well on the bench Sassuolo.

I cringe every time we're linked with de Boer.

Why bother with coaches who have an idea with how their team plays?

We need to stick to our tradition and just stick 8 defenders at the back.

I don't think he'll come and if he does he might get eaten by the demons who live inside this club but if there is someone who would fight them to death is Simeone. Not holding my breath though, I think his next move is the Argie NT.

He's far too young for the national team. He'll want at least one other successful spell at club level before that.

I seriously question if Simeone could even turn this team around. He's a great defensive coach, but our players can't even play football. Is he going to be able to come in and teach our team how to pass and move like a unit?

atletico has a system. they dont play attacking football but we dont need that. our players are looking poor, not because there isnt necessarily an attacking system, but no system whatsoever. for example, kdog was thriving in a very defensive system at monaco but he had clear idea of what his role was on the pitch without having an unhealthy responsibility and he was in a balanced team where he was doing things he is good at and his limitations were mitigated by his teammates. atletico dont play attacking football, but they have a well coached attack so i dont think that concern is relevant. although simeone isnt relevant to us right now either.
