Rooney got injured before Liverpool game. Not sure who did it, but general feeling is that might be Jones.

May be Jones told him, "get this and next season you will replace Ribery as the player of the season".

Manchester United winger Nani signs new five-year contract #SSN

:fuckyea:

So when Nani leaves this summer, you're admitting it will be based on more than one poor season?

Do not mean to offend any man u fans but i don't understand how they win games and have done so well over the past few years. With the exception of van persie and a motivated rooney, there is not one player on that team that i would want or that i rate that highly. Vidic obviously was/is a beast but they've been winning without him alot too. Giggs is a legend but he's not carrying that team.

I've never seen such a gap between roster quality and results before... its shocking. But more credit to them because they win and get results and huge props to Sir Alex for putting in a system that has worked for years and years with various pieces plugged in.

Again, don't mean to offend, just something i have noticed by watching the EPL.

It's because our players are underrated.

Carrick, Nani, Rio, Evra, Rafael, De Gea, Kagawa are all top class players.

I don't know how I feel about carrick and rio on that list. Idk about top class players, but they are good

And I think Rafael is about 1 year away from being top class.
Edit: Put De Gea in this pot as well.

I agree with the rest of that list though. I think kagawa is fantastic, idk why moyes isn't giving him a shot

Carrick was one of the best CM in the league and Rio even though he is 34, is still fantastic player.

Rafael has proved over time that he is very good player.

Kagawa was not match fit as he didn't play in pre season at all. Rumors that we turned Ozil as we Moyes wanted to play Rooney and Kagawa in that role.

I would say our strongest 6 apart from defense is,

Carrick Fellaini

Nani Rooney Kagawa

Carrick is VASTLY underrated. VASTLY. Extremely solid and consistent player. He is literally the english biscuits without the diving and minus a little offensive flair.

Please tell me you are joking. Valencia? It's understandable as on form he is a beast, but Giggs? He is way past it.

Fabio could be an interesting pick up. He can play both sides and still got youth on his side.

I think Kagawa is better up the middle, while Rooney can play anywhere.

He won't be sold I guess. Very highly rated but injury prone.

I think Kagawa is better up the middle, while Rooney can play anywhere.

IMO the reason we didn't sell Rooney was to play him as striker or behind the striker. Rooney made it clear that he don't want to play anywhere except as #9 or #10. One or two games he will play but if we continue to play him wide, he will sulk and ask for transfer again.

Kagawa can play Silva type floating role. Like Silva, Mata, Hazard start wide but drift centrally and play as our playmaker. For Japan he plays that role as Honda plays as AM.
