Belgium manager Marc Wilmots says he tried to call-up Januzaj to take Kompany's place in squad but was told he'd made no decision yet.

Wilmots has said that by trying to call Januzaj up to the senior team he has given the player a clear signal, it's now up to him.

It is a fine decision by Januzaj to wait. I don't see him simply walk in the #11 soon. Might be in a year or 2.

Now he has Hazard, De Bruyne, Mertens, Dembele, Mirallas, .. ahead of him. Bakkali will even have troubles getting in to the pitch.

Will be interesting to see how Wilmots will persuade Januzaj though. If Bakkali will get his minutes against Croatia, I'm sure Januzaj will follow

I hope he chooses no national team. Fuck national teams, risking injury for nothing. Fuck that shit. Do away with FIFA.

That's some great pride in your NT you got there.

Ireland NT comes before Inter for me.

reading your past comments I really doubt so, very dissappointed tbh.

Hope Januzaj chooses Albania, blood is thicker than water

k pimpin enough man.... why discuss this if your opinion doesn't matter. Why does it matter if we convince some guys on FIF, it's so pointless...

Im getting sick and tired of reading about this kid everywhere I go tbh, not here every footballing site, like ffs he scored 2 goals against sunderland ok, he played like shit the rest of the match.

Played shit for the rest of the match? He was the best player on the pitch (for us) even before he scored.

Yeah - for England. But the talk is he will most probably play for Belgium, so... He is born there, no matter what his roots are. I mean, the debate was already made above :D

You haven't read that interview if you think he agrees with you or he says anything remotely close to what you said.

Wilshere said player can't be English if they stay for 5 years, that's true. That's not the case at all with all the players. This is about playing for the country a player was born in.

And what Wilshere said was completely different too. If Januzaj just stayed in Belgium for 5 years then what Wilshere said would have applied to this case, but we are talking about a player who was born in Belgium.

If that rule is applied to England players, many players from past and present shouldn't play for them at all. Welbeck, Zaha, Chalobah are not English going by that rule and also Barnes and other players shouldn't have played for them.

What Wilshere said was spot on. It was applied for Almunia, Arteta by not selecting them as they were neither born in England nor had English roots.

Its true though, few weeks before barely anyone knew him, now he scored 2 goals and played well there are so many articles about him including 10 things to know about Januzaj on National biggest papars like Telegraph and Guardian.

Hype is getting ridiculous, hope he is grounded and don't get carried away by this ridiculous hype.

Where are you getting those odds... Both paddy power and skybet have albania as favourites. Paddy power says he's 75 pcent likely to join us.

Getting sick of this Januzaj shit that's been lingering. A kid plays a good game and scores twice against a team with 1 point. Wow !

He is being way overrated, but your reasoning is pretty fallacious I4E he's had amazing games with Man Utd it wasnt just because of this game. He was amazing against Sevilla, and in reserves he looks like Zidane. Its Neymar situation all over.
