I respect your opinion that Arsenal might do well, Senderos might do well etc.. But when you say Arsenal were good yesterday, you just shoot yourself in the foot Martin, they were miles away from mediocre yesterday, not to mention good.

Oh, yeah, and don't forget Liverpool.
I Really belive that they can give Chelski and United great war on the 1st place.
They have quality, their coach is a very quiet and smart person, that when Mourinho and Ferguson just talks, he do the work quietly. i really appreciate him for that, im a big fan of his way of work.
Remember, not matter what happends, Liverpool and Rafa will be there on top at the end, and ofcourse, dont you think for a minute that Arsenal will not be there to, maybe they bit lack of the quality that the others got, but they have soul, they know their job, and they know how to do it.
Intresting PL season we goin to have.

I don't know if it's just a pre-caution against Arsenal's deadly offence but for those who detest Mourinho's defensive football last season will hate him even more, if Chelsea is to play the next season with the same mentality & tactics that they showed on Sunday. I feel that Lampard has been more withdrawn and for sure, the 2 wingers in Duff & Robben aren't playing as forward as they used to do last season. Drogba/Crespo will receive a lot of long balls and the wings will be used less oftenly.

But, it was definitely effective. Makelele & Lampard were walls, repelling everything Arsenal threw at them. Gallas was great too. But I still prefer Carvalho since he is more complete, albeit slower, than Gallas.

For Arsenal, well, they gotta beef Cesc up if he is to be Vieira's replacement! It's clear that physically, he will struggle in the EPL.

we outmusculed keane few times last season comunity shield, that tells u a lot

and about chelsea, with all that millions and players to play so defensive and ugly to watch is sick.
i know that brings results, but i cant watch them, reggina-siena game is much interesting then watching chelsea play

As much as I like Benitez, there was one ironic thing. Couple of years ago, in that 10/10 Toldo performance in Valencia, Benitez said that the way Inter played was the death of soccer.

It's funny how the days go by, and here is Benitez winning a historic CL by that method. He certainly owes us and Cuper and apology!

Everton maybe but Liverpool? I doubt it. Spurs will finish anywhere between 5-10 as per usual. :D

From the looks of the match against Everton, Sherif & Katiey must be delighted with this season's Man Utd. I believe that they are much more patient this year and do not waste possession ala Hector Cuper by pumping too many long balls. New signing Park Ji Sung also looked quite versatile & with more experience, he should be a good player who can be a backup to Giggs, C.Ronaldo & Rooney. Speaking of which, the latter looks great on his return to Goodison Park too. But what I view as the key improvement is the return of Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He looked much sharper and was closed to scoring for several times. I always consider that Man Utd's failure to challenge for the title seriously for the past 2 seasons was because Ruud wasn't as lethal as he was in his first 2 seasons in Old Trafford.

Well, let's see how the rest of the teams in the league fare this season. :)

Who the heck is that in the pic? :scared:

Liverpool continue to struggle away, but Boro is never an easy game.

It's a pity because Liverpool play soccer the right way, with a technique to say the least. They don't do catenaccio like in CL last year, but they play good soccer. Nice simple touches, and no dump-and-chase stuff.

However, you can't play like this in EPL. You can do like Arsenal and play with technqiue, but you need high-pace, something that Liverpool don't have.

Also, playing with a loan striker isn't a good idea. Gerrard was at times like a second striker, but missed gilt-edged chances, that a striker may have scored. I think Rafa is asking too much of Gerrard to play him like a support striker.

Danke je wel!

I was keen to see how VDS fared, and he had couple of good saves. It was mysterious to me how ManU neglected their GK department, it cost them alot.

And that on the Frisko pic was Rooney :D He looked real happy for scoring that goal. I thought some players don't celebrate against their former team :p
