DEFINITELY not the best, but what we needed in midfield.

None of the other midfielders were hard tackling DMs, and that's precisely what Marrone is (able to play interchangeably in the midfield and the defence). He's certainly better than Rossi though, that's for sure.

In this final, Italy's best player was clearly Immobile, and I think Verratti underperformed because of the lack of a DM to break up Spain's play and allow him to make plays and do what he does best.

Was it just me, or did Caldirola play shit that game? The first goal was a typical goal Inter coincides. Really let down by him, although he wasn't the only one in Italy that played poorly.

Honestly I wouldn't blame him for wanting to leave, he didn't get enough minutes this season despite Xavi being injured or out-of-form & Cesc being Cesc. I'm not so sure that will change next season considering the way things are going. Tito said he didn't even know about the release clause (Thiago had to play in 60% of matches for it to go away)... when the coach is oblivious to something that important there is something really really wrong.

Just a fuck up where nobody payed attention..I'd love to get him!
