It's not how that works, though. If you just look at our financial situation last year, you would never have guessed we played cl final or that we are competing on a serious level at all. Money can only take you so far in football, competence is the main thing. We currently have competence but what puts us down is overall financial situation where we are basically in survival mode. Even if money isn't distributed evenly among clubs, it doesn't matter, cos what will the club like city do ? Spend two billions instead of one? And we will still play on par with them, just like last season. But the point is not for long, cos you can only get away with a strategy of selling your best players and trying to replace them every year for a certain period of time...

Italian clubs with the money from the super league need to become man city, chelsea of seria a. They need to poach every single talented player playing in this league and not let them go to england, spain or wherever. Sure transfers like hojlund, tonali etc will still happen but at least italians will have a possibility to make a proper offer and not some loan bullshit or wait to sell their best players like right now.
The problem is that other teams in serie a will not want to play with super league teams, as its pointless for them. And i would not blame them... so have fun to anyone that wants to watch 20-30 games per season.

There's no Super League money if people don't attend games.

It's only way of existing would be to make a circus out of it.

Inter vs Atletico Madrid in Mumbai
Arsenal vs Barcelona in Sydney
Real Madrid vs Manchester United in Qatar
Manchester City vs Milan in New York

Then next game

Manchester United vs Inter in Abu Dhabi
Barcelona vs Manchester City in Tokyo
Juventus vs Arsenal in Cape Town

And so on...

Obviously I'm not referring to the first season, but after the first couple where whatever enthusiasm and "sports tourism" starts declining rapidly.

Btw just for clarification the new Super League is not trying to replace domestic leagues but rather replace Champions League/Europa League. Think a lot of people are missing that point
The teams in the domestic league will not want to play vs the teams that are in the super league.

I think the problem is the sheer number of games that will occur, tbh. Also, the domestic leagues have a right to admit or deny entry to them.

Good luck grabbing that TV money for the league with those teams. I guess the next step is to make it Super League instead of European Super League so they can invite the Saudi clubs.

As I said I don't like UEFA at all but I'm amused if this Super League project comes crashing down second time within days of its launch.

Not really, with the new champions league format this super league will actually have less games played

sounds not like straight rejection but we will join whatever all parties agreed on
That's it, never lead always follow. It's still a bad idea imo. The integrity of the different domestic leagues will crumble.
Look at the crap in the US College football programs: destroying rivalries between colleges, diminishing the leagues, all for revenue, ratings and what not. This will lead to an expansion of championship playoffs (which probably was the longterm priority anyway, excellerated by FSU exclusion fro the coveted " final four") This is done with unpaid amateurs, kids for christ sake.
Who knows what kinda shite will happen in the super duper league, betcha the fans are the least of their concerns.

We will be the tottenham of the league playing for the 15th place... lets see how long people will enjoy this.
Be positive man. We have every chance to go among the top 4.
It's time to change, I can't see losing another star every season anymore while oil clubs spend as much as they desire

right now for sure, after all the clubs said fuck off to the super league. I am pretty sure we can defeat Fener, Galatasaray, Anderlecht and Lyon.

I trust Perez he knows what he is doing now and finally he'll convince the big clubs and accomplish this project.
People are always against change, but weather they like it or not, they'll have to accept it.
This is ridiculous that 10 out of 12 founding clubs now pretend they are against this project lol
I'll be happy we join esl only when sunning is not in charge anymore. I don't like these fucking chinese at all.

I totally go with ESL and I'm excited about this news. Watching exciting matches against top clubs every week will be pure happiness .
Perez is a genious.
Eating caviar every day will make you puke eventually. The thrill of big match will be lost when every week is a big match. Remember 6 el clasicos in 2011 between Barca and Madrid (cmiiw about the figures)? It was exciting at first, but no one gives a shit anymore in the end.

Super league is a terrible idea and a pure cashgrab project. Although our current football landscape is imperfect, it still has some goods. The examples are Leicester winning EPL or the emergence of Bologna, Girona, and Leverkusen. ESL would eliminate the possibility. Thus Inter should stay away from such a soulless cashgrab agenda and the fans should urge the club to do so.
