does everyone have money to spend except Inter
Sounds like a cunning plan.According to today's Guardian, Barca sold another 15% of their TV rights to Sixth Street. Sixth Street now will own 25% of Barcelona's TV rights for the next 25 years.

I just knew you'd tell us what was going on. Thanks.Last year Atleti took the ventura capitalists CVC (La Liga Impulso) deal for 10% of their €130M annual revenue for 50 years for €270M total
Bartomeu wanted to accept the CVC deal that Tebas et al were pushing, it was for 10% of their annual €160M revenue over 50 years for a total of €270M (No buyback). Laporta negotiated separately with the hedge fund Sixth Street to sell 25% for 25 years (with a buyback option at any time) for €530M - more money, less duration and buyback inclusion

If Barca gets him, i can see Chelsea going all in on Skriniar.Matt Law vs. Gerard Romero about Kounde's next club. Let's see who has got it right.
Basically they are getting a cash advance on revenue they will generate over 25 years up front to bring them into the black enough to get out from the FFP handcuffs that also permits them to have flexibility financially to make sporting decisions they couldn't have made last year or for the foreseeable future. They stand to lose just under 19M annually from that advance if they never buy back the rights over the 25 years. But, if they can generate enough success on & off the pitch to consistently turn profits over next 5-10 years then they can buy it back sooner and limit the lost revenue (Even if they take a loan to buy it back since the interest on the loan would make it a viable option once things are back on track)
It's hedging your bets you will be successful on the pitch and profitable off of it, that too is why they make the moves they do to ensure a solid future. The alternative was to flounder and potentially buckle from the financial mess/constraints. Xavi to coach, Laporta to lead and a young core with experienced veterans to build upon. I like it and I have the feeling there is nothing Laporta wouldn't do to support Xavi and nothing Xavi wouldn't do to ensure the best possible future for the club. What's not to like
I am not so sure about that after Chelsea signing Koulibaly. They're looking for a ball playing rcb to replace Rudiger. Skriniar is great at many things but not at playing with ball on his feet. Sadly for Chelsea there aren't many top ball playing CBs on the market so they need to ask themselves if they're going for the best cb available or going for a cb of lesser quality albeit a better fit for their system. If Barca gets him, i can see Chelsea going all in on Skriniar.
It's not uncommon policy when you're in need of cash. It's just not reported as much and it's a practice that you see in leagues with less exposure.
