FIFA has been disappointing for many recents years, after high expectations (much like Inter), and also MUCH LIKE INTER, this year it really looks like it's about to surpass PES.

The career mode will be awesome too. You get a lot more managerial options and responsibilities. I'm going to manage Inter.... but I won't have to change the squad much. I will only need to bring in a good left-back and a replacement right-winger for Figo when he's gone... hmm.... that gives me something to think about.

PES rules!! I have been buying FIFA until 2005...then I got PES 4...I thought that FIFA was the best,but It just cannot be compared to PES!!

PES is never released in SA. So I only know fifa. I have been getting the fifa games since 1999. So I will again get fifa 2006.

I got FIFA 2006 today on PS2. I was going to get it on PC but it turns out you need a DVD-ROM drive on your computer, which costs an extra $120, so I thought fuc that I'll just get the PS2 version now and save both money and further waiting time (PC version is released in October 3 here).

It's a good game. The introduction is nice and there's a good design layout so it's easy on the eyes and not tedious like previous versions (though maybe it will become tedious after a few months).

To 'greet' you, you get to play a match with your chosen 'favourite team' against a World XI consisting of players like Zico, Hagi, Cantona, Baresi and others. It's good. This was on semi-pro difficulty and I won 4-1 with Adriano, Martins and Veron scoring.

Inter's squad is great, but a few things were early to piss me off.

The player ratings haven't changed much. For Inter's squad Adriano has risen to 94, Martins to 85, Stankovic to 77 and Cambiasso to 85. Then here's what gets on my nerves...
Cruz has dropped to 73 or so, Cordoba to 79, Zanetti to 85, Ze Maria is still 71, Burdisso to 68 and Veron to 77. This pissed me off. But luckily there is a 'edit player' option. So I fixed our squad up. One other thing: Materazzi is listed as 'Valerio Bernado' - wtf?! I fixed that also.

Other than that the squad is perfect. The numbers are all correct (except Burdisso - listed as 27) and the players are all correct apart from the inclusion of Fabian Carini. Samuel is well rated at 87. Figo 89. Solari 83. It's all up to date.

Now I've started career mode with Villarreal. Inter is 4.5 stars so can't be started with. Teams have to be 4 stars or less.

I just found the best thing... before Inter matches at the Stadio G. Meazza when the line-ups are being presented PAZZA INTER AMALA is blasted around the stadium. That is so cool. It really pumps you up.

I think the Trofeo Tim is the pre-season cup. We won that too, didn't we? So many cups these days, it's hard to keep track.

Javier Zanetti is retired. Favalli isn't. :scream: I've lost some of my passion for this game....

interfan: it is a career mode, you play the role of a manager (you play the games too) and have a 15 year career. My first 3 yrs (seasons) were with Villarreal, now I'm at inter.
