Well another youth tournament is about to start. 3 players from our team Duncan, Laxalt and Livaja.
Interested of course to see Laxalt , expect Livaja to lead croatia (if not then he doesn't deserve any hype) and i hope ghana get out as soon as possible to have duncan in pre season , since it's very important for him.

These are the groups anyway: Group Stage

From last world cup players such as Coutinho , Oscar , Juan Jesus , Danilo , Fernando , Muriel , Nelson Oliveira and James Rodriguez came up (although the best player of the tournament, henrique did shit :p ).

Ps. How come teams such as brazil , argentina , italy , germany , netherland or belgium (since it's supposed to produce talents) are not qualified ??

Italy failed to qualify because Luigi di Biagio is simply a poor coach; players like Domenico Berardi were exempt, and the u21 team stole a lot of players that could've represented Italy at this level (e.g. Perin, Leali, Verratti, Biraghi, Bianchetti, Crisetig, De Sciglio), and he failed to choose any from the youth academies (e.g. Di Gennaro, Berardi - GK, Benassi, Pasa, Tassi, Cais, Garritano, Cataldi, Rozzi, Ganz).

Argentina didn't qualify because the squad is not very good in terms of quality (not counting Icardi, of course), and Iturbe is far too inconsistent.

Brazil didn't go through because there is a real lack of connection between the attack and the midfield, and the defence as well as the forward line are both very poor. The midfield pair of Rafinha and Felipe Anderson have really been carrying this team.

With Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, the reasons are similar to Italy, in that many eligible players have already been promoted to either the u21 or the senior squad.

This is a big problem actually. I remember reading last world cup that there were thoughts to fix this problem of u-20 and u-21 but apparently nothing has been done.
There should be some kind of standardisation about youth teams in general both in national and club level because there is no sense for european teams to have both u-21 and u-20 teams just for the sake of this world cup , as there is no sense to have the u-21 european championship and then 1 week later to start the u-20 world cup.

I don't think that will happen considering that the squad also have Richmond Boakye as a forward, who's been great with Sassuolo in Serie B this season.

That's why we have the forum :p.

Anyway Ghana is being raped btw. That defense is very poor , or France players are just too damn high and strong. That kondogbia was impressing , at least at this age since i haven't seen him with sevillia.

About duncan , well he has a very nice touch but it's so fucking heavy . He barely moves , france players are just running past him in every action .... :(

Duncan stayed very deep as the DM while the other Ghana players got forward. That being said Duncan and friends were never going to outplay Pogba and Kondogbia who were very impressive. Ghana is a team that will usually try and beat you athetically. France was twice their size and twice as technical. Ghana's whole midfield seemed inexistant when France went forward at speed, very poor defensive positioning.

Kondogbia would be a great signing.

Australia-Colombia 1-1. Great game to watch. Both sides came to play football.

From the Aus point of view... Very happy with de Silva and Chapman (dude is class). I thought we were a tiny bit unlucky to draw tbh...

Quintero is a huge talent. Can definitely see why he is so highly rated and why we were linked with him.

I would've thought the aussies came to get wasted and throw their beer bottles at random people's heads once they lost.

Colombia play'd really badly and our DMs/strikers were crap as our starters are injured and not in the tournie. I really liked that Silva kid and can't believe he is only 16 !! Your goalie seemed pretty awesome as well. I haven't seen the Colombian team be out muscled in a long time as our players are some of the biggest in South America. Hopefully we both make it out of the group stage and our players feet return to the ground after finishing 2nd in the toulan cup and being South American champions.

Quintero and Vergara(Milans new CB) are really the only two class players in Colombia our goalie Bonilla is the starter for the biggest team in Colombia called Nacional but think he is a bit over rated.

Lol, you're being a bit harsh on Laxalt. There whole team has been horrible and they're just giving away possession constantly where he's at least passed it to a teammate the few times he had it.

Okay , so ghana is out of the tournament (since i guess only the 2 top teams qualify for next round) .

This means that after nagatamo , duncan too will probably be available for the start of the pre-season , or at least with only a small delay.

Aussies defeated by El Salvador. Fell asleep during the half-time interval but De Silva, Irvine and Good had poor games from what I saw... Probably a deserved defeat.

Hopefully Brillante can score goals like he did today next season for Newcastle.

At this sub 20 tournie you have to be 20 or less than 20 on jan 1st of the year the happening. I saw a bunch of the Italian u21 and most of that team is not able to be here. Also just like the World Cup teams need to qualify. I am sure like Argentina and Brazil the bigger teams are just cocky. Netherlands surprises me as Germany does but Belgium/Italy don't normally make it here.

Turkey didnt seem very impressive. They come out guns blazing and are dead 10 minutes into the game.
