One of the leading managers for the vacated rangers job! Would be a good job to bounce back with, team miles behind Celtic and even behind the sheep. Not a huge job budget but he could become an absolute hero when the club is in such a mess, maybe even dip in to the Dutch player market instead of the crappy rip off English lower tier.

No offense but is Scotland really the right step? It's not really a league that gets the eyes of the top clubs in Europe. He should wait for a job in Spain.

Rangers are a basket case with serious money issues. There are rumours directors of the club are having to meet monthly salaries with their own cash.

Even if he were to take the job he will get very little money to compete with celtic. Rangers are a bad move for anyone just now as the expectations of the fans are way to high in the face of their financial realities.

I do know the rangers faithful still like him, he would probably be welcomed by their fans and given a decent atmosphere to grow as a coach. Its not like successful coaches in Scotland never move up to the big leagues anyway

how can a club like rangers be in dire straits, even after bankruptcy and therefore, I suppose, with zero debts? i'm puzzled.

They are in debt to the tune of 18 million pounds. They don't have banking facilities with a credible bank. These are the known facts.

It's also rumoured they have taken loans from companies who offer such facilities at very high interest rates.

The stadium is a mess. We know from previous owners in needs are least 10 million pounds of repairs. That was known several years ago, so the figure may now be higher.

The club is far from healthy, it has been running at a loss since liquidation and playing in the lower leagues up until this season, but ran up multi million pound wage bills despite playing in the lower leagues. So large overheads with considerably reduce income = large debts.

I am sorry I defended this moron. I am glad we sacked him. He is an average coach, and a small man.

Frank de Boer reveals the chaos at Inter with Mauro Icardi and Marcelo Brozovic got too much for him. “We had three months, but honestly it felt like a year.”

The former Ajax Coach was drafted in to replace Roberto Mancini just two weeks before the Serie A season kicked off and was fired 85 days later.

“Leaving Ajax after 25 years as player, coach and manager was hard, but sometimes you are saying the same things, you need a new challenge, like Pep Guardiola,” De Boer told the Daily Mail.

“But at Inter I had to deal with so many things away from football, you lose energy.

“Every time you thought, ‘Finally, a good result, everything has calmed down,’ then comes Mauro Icardi's book or Marcelo Brozovic is in the discotheque and you have to punish him.

“We only had three months but honestly, it felt like a year.”

Inter were fined on Wednesday for Icardi’s autobiography, as it included threats to bring criminals over from Argentina to attack ultras.

Brozovic was dropped for a couple of weeks, but the club never revealed why De Boer had taken disciplinary action – evidently the Croatia international had been out partying into the early hours.

“Attractive football and dominating in the opposition half, winning the ball back as quickly as possible. This is what I stand for,” continued De Boer.

“Discipline is everything, but it's about knowing when. One player at Ajax, Mounir El Hamdaoui, he stayed in the toilet for 10 minutes at half-time then gave me the big mouth. You think, 'If I don't do something here, they're going to play with my balls'.

“That was it, 'Okay, you're off'. You either win the group or lose it. They need to respect you.”

 he sounds like a dictator tbh. And ironically that's exactly how you lose respect.

He might be able to pull such stuff off with a very young team or even at Barcelona, since their players are put through an academy with a similar mentality. But I can see him struggle with the same problem everywhere else. Regardless of how good or bad his tactics are.

I agree, you either win or lose it - you lost it.

Respect is a two-way thing, you have to earn the players' respect first and only then you can demand things from them. Same with soldiers and generals, bosses and employees.

You can even punish them harshly and they'll still understand where you're coming from, but doing it too soon and you're setting yourself up for disaster.

So Brozovic has been partying and that's why his form dipped?

If that's true I would get rid of him next summer.

His words are mostly true, but it was hell for both sides (FDB and Inter). Just another unfortunate time in Inter's history.

Fuck that, I'd party with him after Piolo makes us win against Roma.

Frank just needs to stop. It was an extremely bad time for him to come here, and the odds were totally against him. He is a good manager. It just didn't work out for him and wasn't meant to be. If you still want to be respected, move along.

people here need to calm their tits, we have fucking below average players acting like stars, all of our players are liabilities. two losses in row will expose us.

Starting from handanovic, moving on midfield and even our fucking captain. Brozovic is a cancer, Icardi as much as i fanboy him is a time ticking bomb before he pulls another palmesque fuck up. Handanovic is not enjoying his time here. Palacio throws tantrums our most experienced player. Fuck these people who dont back the coaches.

Inter 0-0 Palermo :palm: 2 p.l.
Pescara 1-2 Inter
Inter 2-1 Rube
Empoli 0-2 Inter
Inter 1-1 Bologna :palm: 2p.l.
Roma 2-1 Inter
Inter 1-2 Cagliari epic :palm: 3p.l.
Atalanta 2-1 Inter ok...not so bad
Inter 2-1 Torino
Samp 1-0 Inter :palm: stupid

How could a president who has no clue about football choose a guy who has no clue about Italian football...on 8 August no less...
Good thing Suning learned ET has no fucking clue about football and sidelined his incompetent ass from decision making
I fear it was too late however...
We lost points that we are now desperately chasing to gaing so we can catch Roma and Napoli
We could easily have 7-10 points more if for instance Pioli was appointed instead of De Boer...oh well
Important thing is Suning realised their mistake of giving power too a complete noob in football
Even if we fail to get CL I think we are on the right track again to better and bigger things

I don't blame FdB much for his results,I'm sure he did his best in an unknown league to him,he wasn't the Right choice tho obviously for lack of experience with our league or leading such a massive club with high pressure... However he needs to stop blaming others for his fails

TBH i dont blame De Boer for what happened at the start of the season with him being given no pre season, a shitty team not suited to his tactics, a team in disharmony, no faith within the management. I blame him for his shitty response to being fired, his attempts to cover up his own faults and his inability to keep the squad united. He was dealt a shitty hand but made himself go bust

The team FdB got was not shitty. It's exactly the same that Pioli has, except Gagliardini. And Pioli started getting results before Gags joined. But I agree with you, I sympathise with FdB for the situation he inherited, but not for his reaction post-sacking.
