That is criticism. I am not saying that I disagree with anything you are saying, but can't you guys just enjoy the fact that he saved our asses again without even playing a full match???

Save those comments for when he has a bad match, the guy has a killer performance and we still see the same comments that he would receive after a shit game...I just don't understand.

To me that is the most stupid thing to do, to jump from different opinion to other based on single performances.

If Pazzini does become first choice CF next season, I am going to expect a lot from him in terms of goals scored. Hopefully the midfield gets its deserved reinforcements this summer so that Eto'o and Pazzini can work together in and around the box. Because Pazzini is a goal poacher in the box, anything less than 28-30 goals (unless injured) over all competitions would be a failure for me. He scored 19 in 2009-10 with Samp in Serie A, so with the likes of Eto'o, Sneijder, Maicon (possible), Nagatomo (if he is LB), and a CM like Sahin, I think a goal total near 30 should be expected.

I guess it is just a matter of opinion then. To me, saying that a striker, who has 8 goals in 15 appearances (3 as a substitute) for us even though we have probably the worst midfield out of all the major clubs, deserves to be nothing more then a bench player is a much more stupid thing to do.

I want to go out on a limb and say that if we get a decent mid or attacking mid unit next season, Pazzo will score 25+ goals easy.

Currently, he is by miles the most lethal Italian striker in the box. He's like Inzaghi without the bitchiness. Give him chances and he will convert a lot of them. Yes he cant do it alone like Eto, but not many can.

Some people say he's not the modern type of striker, arguably this might be correct, but if we utilize him properly he has it in him to go up another level and with the FFP, we need players like him who are hungry and talented enough to start over Milito.

In reality Pazzini is most probably a starting player for us next season, no doubt about that. My opinion is the scenario that we would have a possibility to get more all-around starting central forward. That is where I see Pazzini a perfect super-sub striker/rotation striker (starts some matches, tougher matches as super-sub). His finishing ability is top class but against top sides IMO we need more from our strikers than what Pazzo can offer.

edit. I'm not against Pazzini or anything like that, I do hope he develops more and can get a new dimension to his game, which would make him very effective player.

To me Pazzini would be a perfect sub striker, or at least not a sure starter. His finishing is simply elite level, but unless we get some serious reinforcements to our midfield, our starting strikers need to be more involved in our game than what Pazzini is.
But you still want Inter to neglect the forward department and focus in getting some midfielders instead?

:p

I would like to see another multidimensional striker as well, but in my opinion, that does not necessarily have to push Pazzini to the bench. Eto'o - Pazzini - Tevez would be devastating for the opposition!

my friend agree with you but stop using Tevez ...he will probably go to London Roman Abramovich etc

Pazzini is just amazing, he finishing skills are great and his ability to get a lot of air time allows him to be devastating on headers. Inter needs to give more crosses over the opposition box knowing that there is Pazzini in there.

He is the future striker of Inter and honestly i do not really wish that Inter signs Tevez, I'd much rather sign Robin Van Persie

Ps: I'm new to the forum, Hi everyone :)

Think I agree with a lot of posters in this thread... Considering Pazzini's talent (and he's not too old either), we should invest in the midfield (addition of Robben would be great in that perspective) and keep him as the real box striker he is.

Pazzini is our perfect striker if we can stop playing defense ==> LONG BALL ==> striker and start doing defense => midfield => striker :)

SE SALTELLI....
It's good to see that ppl have finaly caught on to the point that this guy needs service. Hey even RVN stated that with becks and giggs he would score another 15 goals a season. He definitely is a starter for if we get that wide creative forward and creative CMs. If we don't, then it's the bench for him, as he is no where near starter material
