The way he’s playing Bremer becomes a necessity signing to the degree Vlahovic was, or should’ve been, after we sold Lukaku.

We need to lock him down ASAP before bigger fish come calling.

He won't leave Italy.

I've got an odd feeling about this one . Unless we agree a deal soon I have doubts on him ending up here.

There are more and more rumours in Germany about Bremer and Bayern. The good thing is Bayern seem unwilling to spend a transfer fee for Sule replacement.

Don't have one.
He finally found his groove, probably knows by heart every striker in the league, which is evident by the way he pockets them. Why would he want to throw that in the bin if a decent offer comes from juve, milan or inter. He came to torino in 2018, so the period of adaptation was quite long, to become probably the best cb in the league right now. If he goes to england or germany it's adaptation all over again, and I don't think he is willing to risk it.

In most cases, players with his story and rise to fame accept the first big contract that comes their way in the league they are already bossing.

You know Bremer is a must when Milanisti and Juventini are shitting their pants at the thought of Bremer joining Inter. They even claim Bremer at Inter would ruin the league.

My only reservation about Bremer has to do with his ability with ball on his feet. Inter are playing a lot different than Torino so we haven't seen much of that. It's something that shouldn't be underestimated. Inter start most of their attacks from the back. If Bremer is poor with ball on his feet then we could have a serious problem.

Not a huge issue if he's here to replace De Vrij.

We care more about wide center backs playing with the ball than De Vrij does. It's also a reason why De Vrij seems to have an off year. He has much less time with the ball, we're mostly using Bastoni to play from the back nowadays anyway and if we go centrally, there's Brozovic and Hakan typically closes in to help since Bastoni moves forward with Perisic covering him.

Under current Inzaghi's system, the middle center back is more of a man marker and less of a playmaker. In Lazio he was using De Vrij differently.

Bremer gives Skriniar / Van Dijk vibes. 100% definetely one of the best CB in the world for 5 years.

We had most complete defence for CL run next year if we buy Bremer next summer.

Yeah @brehme1989 makes a good point about the different role of De Vrij compared to Conte time. Indeed he's more tasked to do pure man marking than just organizing the defence line and keeping it in order in a low block like with Conte.

Bremer is exactly what this team needs, we need more athleticism in our backend. He's a huge man marker and perfect to nullify Vlahovic in battles against Juventus in the coming years.

Didn't De Vrij do the same in the match against Fiorentina at the beginning of the season?

I'm pro Bremer but I really don't want to lose any of our current 3 starters. Bremer should be coming as a reinforcement. Bringing Bremer in and losing SDV means we're still lacking quality in the defence. We can't keep relying on DD Rano as they are getting older and slower.

We cannot afford De Vrij's new contract, at least a long-term one. Better to sell him now and replace him with Bremer. Bremer ain't gonna go to any team to sit on the bench.

We will address our rotation options to the defence hopefully too. I'd prefer we sign two CBs in the summer, Bremer and a rotation option.

I never said bench Bremer. But having 4 great CB means you can easily rotate between them imo.

Nah trust me dude this guy can easily be better than De Vrij if he’s not already. We have to get him

That's not my point though. Let's say OK he's better than De Vrij and we brought him and lost De Vrij in the process. We are still at the same situation defensively as we only have 3 solid CBs with no depth to cover them adequately.

My point was bring him and keep SDV which will mean we have 4 solid defenders and we can rotate as we please. Bremer can play CB and RCB, Skriniar plays LCB, CB and RCB, SDV plays CB and Bastoni can play LCB, CB.

If we need to go to the next step, Bremer should be an additional to our current ranks not a straight swap with someone. That's my point.

No idea who we could sign as rotation option. Ginter would be ideal but he's asking for too much (3-3.5m). Felipe is going to Betis and he was also asking for too much (3.2m base salary). Romagnoli could be another option but he's also expensive and he could only be a Bastoni backup where we already have Dimarco. From the other cbs with expiring contracts the best we could realistically sign is Denayer but i don't think he's good enough. I guess keeping Vanheusden as a rotation option is a real possibility.

Yeah maybe we just extend Dumbo and Rano for yet another seasons, retain Vanheusden and have Dimarco as LWB/LCB multi-option. It's not great but it is what it is, we need to pick the positions where to use our resources.
