All right, so you know what he said. And you still want him back? What is the difference between what he said and Fontana?

I condemn the 2001 quotes strongly, and I'm surely not Frey's number one fan. I happen to think that he's the best keeper available, and that he's only option we can pursue, since he surely wants to leave, and he wants to join us. This would make the transfer possible on an economic point of view.

I'll be happy if we keep Toldone one more season. As long as the Nord can behave themselves and not put him under pressure at the first mistake he makes.

But if the choice is Carini/J Cesar - Frey, I'd take Frey without blinking. I rather have him than a disaster keeper.

He isn't the best GK available, far from it.

You know what they say: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." This guy should never be allowed to wear the Inter jersey again.

Our pride seems less and less important day by day.

Isn't he? Tell me the name of another keeper with Serie A experience, affordable price, easy to get to agree to a contract, and with the skills of Frey.

And just tell me one thing Hamed, where do you stand on Emre? He said worst thing about Inter than Frey. Do you want him never to wear the Inter jersey again?

I might be soft, but I just can't do that.

Frisko, there comes a time where the club's pride and colours are more important than how good a player is. Frey could be the best keeper in the world for all I care. I'd rather see Cordaz being our keeper.

Ironically, the Parma fans are starting to hate his guts now as well due to his comments.

Oh, and if you want a keeper like you describe, you have Morgan De Sanctis. Not to mention that I think you underrate Carini as hell.

De Sanctis would be good but it doesn't seem likely at all that it can actually happen.

What about Emre then Jimmy? If it's a question of pride for you, do you want him out?

there is no doubt Carini can become a world class keeper in time with regular playing. he still is only 26/27.

but i love the De Sanctis comment. id take him any second of any day.

I rate Carini quite low. And anyway, he needs to grow, and a keeper CAN NOT GROW AT THE S SIRO. It's the downside of our fans, the Nord especially: they have no patience, they will pick on him if he makes a mistake, that is going to affect him badly.

We had Zenga+Pagliuca+Toldo in the last 15 years, 3 of the best Italian keepers in history, doing well for us.

If you put a new guy there, expect trouble. And don't think he will stay 2 years in a row. It's not gonna happen.

Even Toldo, who's a freakin legend and has so much experience, was affected badly by the fans picking on him during the first half of this season. I was there at the S Siro for Inter v Juve and witnessed that in person.

If you put Carini or J Cesar in our goal as starter, you better prey that they won't make any serious mistake.

Yes, I don't, if it was up to me, I would have kicked him out the day he came back from Turkey.

You have to understand how much I loved Emre. I used to rave about him to some Turkish buddies and tell them he is the next Maradona etc. I loved him and I remember cursing at Ferrara like I never did when he injured him in the Coppa game.

However, after hearing those comments I was really upset. I remember reading them when I was away from home and I was so upset. I couldn't vent out my frustration on this forum, and I had a bad night sleep. I just couldn't believe he could say something like this.

But now it's over, and I am gald he is leaving.

Why oh why is Julio Cesar a disaster keeper in your eyes? I don't get it. Have you even seen him play? I have, and I did like what I saw. My prediction is that he will be our future Nro. 1 keeper, and that he will do well.

I might be soft

No Frisko, you are not soft at all. Remember the conversation we had about Cassano the other day? :)

I'm soft, I tend to forgive players pretty easily.

Just read what I just posted above Johnny. I don't think they have no skills, but I strongly believe that a keeper must be experienced to start at Inter. The S Siro is not a good place for a keeper to grow.

What good does experience do if you are a jerk?

Ok then, see you next January, after Carini started as number one, made 3 or 4 bad mistakes, he's the most hated person in Milan, and destroyed the confidence of our defence.

Now just read that sentence again, just put J Cesar instead of Carini.

If we keep Toldo, fine. If we get De Sanctis, fine. Otherwise, I want Frey.

but wouldnt he also be the most hated man in milan.

not for his goalkeeping mistakes but for what he said.

i mean, maybe those young guys start making mistakes and then they are not fan favourites, but frey will be the same just for a different reason.

lets just keep toldone.

Get a good CD, then I am sure Toldo would improve.

I'd rather bring in Kameni who is skilled but without a minute in Serie A than have the rat between the posts.

It's not like he is the best as well. Yes, he could be the best available with Serie A experience, but we can bring a better one from outside.

True, but I don't see it happening. Davids for example, he was an ex-gobbo, still they didn't hate him. Not even Lippi was insulted by Inter fans!

As long as they do their job well, the fans won't have a go at them.
