I know what you mean. But a confident GK who believes in himself would never be shaken by such fans. He knows they are a section and is surely used to being booed by his own fans.

I think what shook Toldo's confidence was Mancini's un-confidence in him, and not the Ultras.

don't think they have no skills, but I strongly believe that a keeper must be experienced to start at Inter.

Julio Cesar will be 26 in september, he played first time as a number one for Flamengo when he was 17 years old, he is also Brazil national team keeper, he played in last Copa America. He is very experienced player.

If you are number one keeper for team like Flamengo when you are 17, you do know something about pressure! Also, he has much more self confidence and leadership than Toldo.

Now just read that sentence again, just put J Cesar instead of Carini.

Are you just having a wild guess with no information about the subject?

Man ,you have one strange sense of humour. That's not funny at all. Brazilian league is very tough, and there is alot of pressure too. Would you say Toldo isn't experienced because he haven't played a minute outside Serie A? But whatever, you have your opinion, I have mine.

exactly. j.Cesar only played in brazil. why do i consider toldo experienced?

Well playing in Florence then for inter, respresenting them in the Serie A, Champs league.

Playing during the world cup, what he did during the Euros.

omg, i cant believe i even wrote that. comparing Cesars experience to Toldo :wallbang:

Yeah, you shouldn't do that because you don't seem to understand - or know - that he really is experienced. Just look what he have achieved:

With Flamengo:

Carioca Championship (2004)
Guanabara Cup (2004)
Carioca Championship (2001)
Champions Cup (2001)
Guanabara Cup (2001)
Carioca Championship (2000)
Rio Cup (2000)
Mercosul Cup (1999)
Campeonato Carioca (1999)
Guanabara Cup (1999)
Champions Cup (1997

He also won Copa America last year and have played in Copa Libertadores, Champions League of South America. You shouln't underestimate South American soccer.

Also, I never said that he is as experienced as Toldo, just that it doesn't make sense to say keeper is not experienced if he hasn't played outside one country.

I can tell you've never been at the S Siro. You could actually see Toldo getting more cautious and insecure against Juve, as soon as the fans started.

Because of Mancini? If all it takes is being dropped to the bench to lose confidence and perform bad, then all players would be doomed.

Toldo only spoke through his agent this year. And the only thing Toldo was upset about according to the agent was having his client relegated to the bench by Mancini. He didn't say anything of the fans booing.

So what, he doesn't need to say anything, you can see he's nervous and clumsy when they put him under pressure.

Zenga might be nervous if you have Materazzi -- Miha in front of him.

Look at Buffon last year, and this year. Having great defenders in front of you just gives you confidence.

More like: having 10 players standing on the goal's line means less space for the ball to go in...

Because Lippi never insulted Juve.

If Frey comes to Inter, we might as well change our name to Gutless FC, hold a joint BBQ with Milan fans, and pay a tribute to Ciro Ferrara.

NEVER EVER!!!! ONCE A RAT, ALWAYS A RAT.

Go and ask JZ and Cordoba why not. I am sure they remember what he said. ;)

You don't have to go so far. Some of us here remember very well what he said. ;)

Frey is a moderately good keeper with an extraordinarily low commitment and respect. Why bother with him?

Ciao,
Tim

Ohh you are right , sorry hehe, now this example supports your commentary that maybe the Ultras made him a little bit nervous in the game at the San Siro...

and in the opposite at Delle Alpi made his best performance... :proud:

I think we should keep Toldo as our starting GK next season.....there're a lot of good keepers that can take Toldo's place (Casillas, Buffon, Cech, etc..) but we can't get them and Toldo has been doing good lately.

I'm just scared that we could end up with Frey or Sereni for next season, no way...... I wouldn't mind De Sanctis though.
Also I think we should buy Kameni and make him 2nd goalie or loan him out for next season, and the next one he can be our starter. I have this idea cause I think he's better than J.Cesar and Carini.

And like somebody said....with a good defense (Samuel, Alex, Chivu) Toldo will look much better.

I think that Toldo still got at least one season in him. Then after that, if Mancini wants to put one of the other goalies in his place then let him. Toldo could then act as a mentor or teacher to Fabian Carini.
