My point was that Hernanes and Kovacic play better when Kuzmanovic is with them and vice versa. He sucks, no doubt, but he knows his role and sticks to the basics. That's all.

We don't know how Duncan would do, and Taider when given a run of starts, failed to make anything happen. Given the respective ages of Duncan and Taider, they need playing time in order to prove themselves, which is something that Mazzarri never does. Kuzmanovic can start if needed, come in as sub, or kill time with a lead.

Incompetence..

You don't need to be a brand to sign good players at good prices..

Vidal could have been had for what we paid for Guarin.
Pjanic for what we paid for Alvarez.
Rossi for what we paid for Belfodil just 6 months later.
Alexis Sanchez was asked for by Rafa in 2010, we thought we knew better and gave him Biabiany instead.

^Rossi was, and still is HUGE gamble. He played too little for the money they paid for him. The reports were that it was 10 mils in cash and 6 (or it was 8) in bonuses. That's quite a lot for someone who was out for 2 years, don't you think?

Sanchez wasn't asked by Rafa. We tried for him in January, ones Rafa was sacked. And at the time, it didn't look like he will make it big tbh... Till that half season, he had 8 goals and 8 assists in 80 matches for Udinese, how was that enough to ask 30 mils for him, as much as Pozzo did?

He would/ve been great, sure, but at the time it didn't look like it. Belfodil had better last season than Sancehz had back in the time, and it doesn't work out.

Pjanic and Vidal are huge misses tho. Both could've been obtained for relatively cheap for their quality.

Incompetence indeed..,he succeeded in getting us Mou and the CL which made the brand as big as it gets. After that though it was like their aim was to destroy Inter.i mean seriously, if you switch the objective of Branca from improve Inter to destroy Inter all the transfer sagas and the way things were handled makes more sense.

In addition to Nyalls list I would add Cavani who was begging to come here for 17 million. To me him and Sanchez we really had a chance to get and they could have made all the difference.

You see, it's not that black and white. We have made some buys that looked excellent at the time, and turned out HUGE flops. Pereira, Gargano, even Silvestre who was good defender before coming to Inter. And of course, there are signings like Schelotto

Pajo making an excuse for incompetence doesn't prevent it from being incompetence. At the end of the day, for the past 4 years we've made terrible deal after terrible deal in the market and have gained few rewards from our "bargains". The mere fact that no one wants Kuzmanovic or Guarin but we're trying to include in deal after deal says a lot.
