ESPN showed a graphic that clearly showed Clint Dempsey as even. I see why the linesman called it (Dempsey jumped forward right after the ball was hit), but my god, you have a job to do, make the right call.

I forgot the linesman gets to see that graphic before he makes the call...

Dempsey was even and moving towards the goal when the ball was played, how can you expect the linesman to get that perfect?? It was a 50/50 chance based on how the linesman saw it, this happens almost every game.

Well now USA has another excuse if they get eliminated...they won't remember how Gomez missed a gift right before the disallowed goal or how Jozy missed an open net, but I bet they will remember an inch close offside call forever...watching it live, Dempsey looked at least 3 yards offside to me.

They are qualified for the next round, and this is really impressive. I think they deserved to be qualified, and I wish them good luck in the next round. And I would like to say that Donovan was almost invisible in the second half, but in the latest minutes he scored that crucial goal and he's man of the match.

Yeah, definitely deserved...Shame that it takes so long for them to actually get into the match...It'll cost them going forward if they don't play better from the first whistle...Interesting now, in retrospect, how sure both England & the US were of advancement when the draw was announced...They both found it far harder than they imagined much less cared for
