I do agree that his freekick ability seems to be a shadow to what has been earlier but it's not like Barella is a kind of freekick specialist. In fact, Hakan's shooting is superior to anyone we have in the squad, I just think he needs to cool himself down ahead of these because it feels like he's trying too hard to impress.

His execution of the ball is insane. I want him to try more because eventually he'll take care of these. Haha, he didn't fail enough to overcome this difficult situation.

There's a clip of Mkhitaryan scoring a free kick, but he went under the wall, and that approach died when Brozovic invented the art of lying down on the ground.

Couldn't find any clips of Fratessi or Asllani scoring set pieces, but Asllani strikes me as a player who could pull it off.

Brozo has scored freekicks for us but that doesn't make him a freekick specialist. I wouldn't write Hakan off just yet because there is still something in him that strikes me as an incredible shooter in term of power/accuracy. Could it be that he's kind of unstable mentally when it comes to taking them or whatever. I'm not going to argue in this topic but I think he must keep taking these freekicks and set pieces.

There may be a stat but if there was a stat for most shots by a midfielder that are on target but blocked - hakan would win hands down. He gets so unlucky at times.

Reeeeeally not at his best today. Even the shot that almost went in was actually a deflection.

Some of his passes today were infuriating. Why is he trying some slick passes in our half? Mostly it was his fault we lost the ball so many times, luckily Cagliari was shit.

I actually thought he was our best midfielder today. He also had a 98% pass completion rate (which probably isn’t saying much).

In the second half he was bossing the game. First half not so much because other players were very active, but once we changed our approach, he stepped up heavily.

He's been best midfielder tonight for me as well. Dominated the game by far, such a shame his shots never go in. Nobody can convince me there's a player in this league whom has a better shooting than Hakan.

There was also a few flashes of brilliance which I enjoyed so much. Except of Barella whom was disappointing, the rest were quite good.
