Yeah, mkhi wasn't good today, sharp contrast from the previous game where he was really good. Maybe playing two games in a row with high intensity took its toll. Hopefully fratessi starts next game, think he desperately needs playing time to jell with the first team.

He hardly put a foot wrong in the first half, but looked totally gassed after the break.

I don’t think we’ll flow as well with Fratessi instead of Mkhitaryan: Sensi is the obvious replacement. Even Asllani would be a better fit I think.

I don't think either, at least for now, mkhi really makes us fluid. But i wanna test fratessi tbh, put him in a sink or swim situation. Maybe the reason he looks a little bit off is that so far he came into the games almost exclusively as a sub. That's totally different contexts and role compared to when you start from the first minute.

He’ll get plenty of chances. Let’s not forget that Mkhitaryan and Onana didn’t get a start until our first CL fixture.

Frattesi should be able to play just as well, or better. If they were not sure that frattesi would be a starter, then we wasted a lot of money.
Have you heard of easing player in? It's super fucking early in the season. It's worked well with Mikhi, why should Inzaghi change it. Frattessi will eventually get his chances.

I also see you comparing him and barella but you seem to forget that Barella came to a dysfunctional mid whereas Frattessi came to a well oiled mid.

I think Mkhitaryan did well in linking up play and covering the left flank while Dimarco and Bastoni were pressing forward, maintaining possession, covering and defending, sometimes even in line with De Vrij and Darmian, and building from the back as an alternative playmaker option to Calha.
Mkhi may be preferable to Frattesi for this match because he is a more attacking-minded mezzala who would be less efficient if he had to defend and cover.
Frattesi will have his chance sooner or later.

You are rushing too much. Unless Miki is injured, Frattesi would not start till mid season. Miki had a good first half.

Love Micky but sometimes he plays some awful passes out of the back I don't understand it cause he can be so good

On pace to have the most minutes for midfielders

But yeah he’s been pretty good it must be said.

I doubted about his fitness before the match but he was a beast. If he keeps that pace I won't mind if we trigger his optional year.

Undisputed man of the match. It is mind boggling that a 35 years old can run the midfield with such dynamism and intelligence. And I am not exaggerating, he is our best midfielder after treble era.

Before the season I thought he was over the hill. Very happy to be wrong. Man of the match.
