But so much applause was reserved for Figo, I puked at the guard of honour that our players gave him

Wow man...are you that much of a lowlife bro?

Luis Figo retired from football, and we're the club that revitalized his career, he loves us for that and he's just as big of a legend as Maldini is.

Crespo's not done with soccer yet, and since Figo came there was always a special bond with him and Inter.

Come on guys...how can Hernan Crespo "Arma Letale" not be in Inter legend?

One of the most clinical and classiest strikers of all time.

NO FUCKING WAY

Seriously? You don't think Crespo is an Inter legend? THIS IS MADNESS!

I can understand if Martins is not considered one but Crespo? Do you guys actually watch the 02/03 and 06/07 season?

In 02/03 he got injured in the crucial part of the season, his only contribution was in the early part of CL that season with goals against Rosenborg and Ajax. Didnt do much in the league.

In 06-07, he did good. Just not good enough to be a legend. It was a decent season, but just one decent season isnt good enough to become Inter legends in my books.

Add to that, he is mercenary who played for Milan. Only joined us for a second time, when Milan didnt make a move for him. Repeatedly told Milan, how upset he was that they didnt wanted to sign him after his successful spell with them in 04-05.

Its a tougher decision than Adriano or Figo, but still, for me, not a legend. Still a dude who gave us some good memories.

He scored a brace against Lyon too. And how about the last minute goal against Brescia in that crazy 9 vs 10 match? And it's not just about the goals. To me, Crespo is like a rich man Zamorano. He always gives his all plus he's a better player than Bam Bam.

I don't think mercenary is the correct term to describe Crespo. He just freaking wants to return to Italy so desperately that he'll accept the offer of any club, even Juventus to I'd say. His Milan stint leaves a dark patch in his image for Interisti but I personally understand it and partially 'forgives' him for it.

Yeah to me part of Crespo's contribution has always been his hunger and commitment (compare him to Julio Cruz for example, jesus christ). He is a true professional. That commitment added to the world's top3 (Crespo, RvN, Trezeguet) finishing ability makes Crespo a legend to me. After all, this La Grande stuff is just a personal opinion.

He didn't do enough on the field and that is my only criteria. He was a very good player for us and is close but not close enough to get my vote for la grande.

For me, he's a football legend. And he's had his moments for Inter. My favorite Crespo moment is when he scored (against Parma?) while he was injured, and he was immediately subbed afterwards. He's in LGI for me.

Btw, I don't think that LGI is only a forum. Everyone who voted for some player in LGI considers him an Inter legend, and that's where controversy beings as people start discussing why should/shouldn't he belong there.

From what I remember, even during his season at Milan, he spoke well about Inter. And when he won with Inter after that, didn't he mention that the Scudetto was special because we beat Milan twice that season :proud:

CHill out Handoyo. There are some definitions for Legend of a club. I love Crespo alot. Everyone knows I'm a great Argentina fan. But Legend is not something you can put on everyone! Even Zamorano doesn't deserve to be called Legend for Inter, even that fans like him alot. With much much respect to Crespo and admiring of what he has been throughout his career, he can't be an Inter Legend.

Fuck the criteria I usually judge La Grande Inter on, I love this player, his determination the way the fans go crazy when he's on the pitch, Crespo's a fuckin legend no doubt about it.

Great player and professional, always in silence waiting for a chance, a example for his partners and for the young people.

Grazie, Grazie Crespo!

Crespo is a player who did great with us and who would have dont great with us had we sold him the first time and then not play him regularly for the second time. He did play for milan but that was mainly because of his chelsea situation and his relationship with Ancelotti. Anyways to me he is an Inter Legend but he still played for milan so yah...

Crespo is a legend of the game, no doubt.

But an Inter Legend? Please.

Most of you are just voting Yes because you feel attached to the player. You have to be a real symbol of the club to qualify for this position. He was more of a symbol for Parma/Lazio then he was for us.

He is a mercenary, a very loyal, lovable mercenary but certainly not an Inter legend.

He score under 40 goals in total for us, while he scored over 50 for Lazio and 70 for Parma, yet after all this he is an Inter legend??? How on earth does this compute in some of your minds? Actually, don't answer that.

Bergomi, Zanetti, Mazzola. When you hear these names you immediately associate them to Inter...but Crespo? No, sorry.

I love him too, but the majority of you must be new to Serie A.

So those put him as an Inter Legend?!

First You're talking about Inter, then Crespo here. Crespo can be for example a Parma Legend because if I'm not wrong he's their top scorer in their history but he can't be an Inter, AC Milan or Chelsea Legend. He will be remembered as a Great Player but Legend goes for different players.
