Well ... that was.... fucking expected. With our midfield we are competing Genoa, not Barcelona.... I was never expected us to go far in CL, but we will miss big those money to bring in some quality.

Yeah, and I wonder if we realy need old players like mertens or vidal? We wont really seriously try to win Europe

No one should blame Conte. He has done the best he can but what do you expect from Vecino, PoLOLitano, Grandpa Valero and Biraghi as his secondary options? Lautaro is MOTM but got no help from this clown midfield

Around the 70th minute or so I really thought we were going to score ,. Shit happens ... There is a clear lack of depth in our squad and I don't mean just numbers quality depth ,

On paper Barca Bench are not the only ones stronger than ours , Rube to mention another.
We need to scout and buy some serious renforcements over the winter market.

They did a good job getting rid of the trash but they need to do a better job ridding this team of the Politanos and improving the midfield. I would not be surprised to see this repeat itself in the league too. No amount of coaching can overcome mediocrity.

Lack of depth, injuries, and the poor half against Dortmund did us in.

Let's look ahead. Next season we should be in pot 2 at least, and shouldn't have the kind of groups we had this season or last.

We need another quality midfield extremely badly and we need Sensi and Barella to get fit soon!
We can blame Brozo how much we want, but that fucker played nearly every minute from the beginning of the season. It is just too much for anyone!
We can blame also Lautaro and Lukaku but it the same situation with them! We have nobody decent who could replace them!

Hard luck fellas

I thought Inter played well from the first whistle, looked like they had the right spirit & commitment for what was required. Some of the comments in here, it's hard to believe we were watching the same match - particularly with respect to Lukaku & Lautaro. Between a few great saves from Neto & a few final pass/actions that didn't quite connect, Inter had plenty of great scoring chances. From there, just bad luck

Liked the energy from my team and many of the individuals (Perez, Fati, Alena, Todibo & Neto) & collective, they lacked much control/rhythm in the 2nd half which begged the question why Valverde didn't sub out the weakest performer on the night (Vidal). Tactically Valverde is a moron but the spirit of the team is building which bodes well for Anoeta & the pending Clasico. Plus, Fati & Perez get some deserved spotlight. I hope Todibo is not at all considered to be on the block, he was very impressive for me - he has to be in the rotation

Do you even check their lineup ? This Barca B has Umtiti, Rakitic, Vidal, Griezmann, Suarez, and De Jong which are at least on par with our starters. And Lenglet is not a random bad player, he is a main defender for Barcelona.

Rakitic and De Jong didnt play at the same time... Griezmann and Suarez didnt play at the same time... Imagine if they did? We are playing at our home ground bro, we need the win, they are playing for nothing. Didnt you see how they played? Didnt you see their body language? They were literally playing for fun. If they were the better team or playing seriously, they wouldnt let Lukaku have two golden chances, one for Politano and on for Martinez. It’s all on us...

I’m sick of people being okay with this loss, we aren’t Lazio or Roma. This is just embarassing.

Tonight we paid the price of our mistakes on (the home draw against Slavia and the second half collapse in Dortmund) and off (lack of depth, inadequate backups) the pitch. After the game against Roma, it was to be expected that we would not get much of the ball even against this version of Barcelona. Yes, they rested several key players, but even so they were still able to field eleven more than competent players. Take a look at our midfield instead. Four out of five are completely out of their depth at this stage, and the fifth has been playing non-stop for club and country since the beginning of the season. Tonight our chances of going through depended on the the ability of our defence to shut Barça's attacks off as well as our strikers' to conjure up something upfield. Unfortunately, neither thing happened tonight. Or, at least, it wasn't enough.

That being said, nothing has changed as regards the need of reinforcing the squad in the upcoming mercato. It's true we won't have Champions League football (I suspect we wouldn't have lasted long anyway), but we still need better alternatives for the rest of the season and the goals that we can still pursue (including Europa League - we need those points if we want to move up from pot three).

I had a feeling we wouldn't pull through. Sensi and Barella probably would have made the difference but it is what it is. Onto fucking EL yet again. If Marotta doesn't bring in depth for the midfield in January, we should not field a strong squad in that competition. We need to focus on the league
