No motivation??We are chasing scudetto, due stelle, wtf you are talking about?

Because the Scudetto was decided months ago. We're chasing mathematically clinching it, but for all intents and purposes it's been over for a long time. The 2nd placed team in the league fielded a B side today because they're prioritizing their Europa League game next week (rightfully so).

Our opponents since losing to Atleti:

Napoli
Empoli
@ Udinese
Cagliari

Napoli only stands out because of reputation, they've been nothing special this year. The other three teams are fighting relegation, which to some degree works against us because these games all meant a lot more to them than they meant to us. We're playing one game a week, so it feels like an eternity to get to these games, two of these games were on Monday's no less, we're not getting any benefit of an early game in the match week...I bet if we were still fighting on the Champions League that our performances would look better. We'd need it in order to stay sharp for those CL games. What do we have to stay sharp for right now?

I expect a strong display against Milan. That's about it. Otherwise, what we've seen the last few weeks...get used to it. It's not getting any better the rest of the season. We're playing out the string and waiting until we can celebrate the Scudetto ceremony in the last home game of the season.

They play on Thursday vs Roma away where they have to overcome a 0-1 deficit. If they trash us after such an exhausting fixture we are a disgrace.

If anything our team needs to finally realize the race is not over and they have to win vs bilan rather than play like pussies vs fucking Cagliari.

The race is over no matter what any of us say. Milan drew (after rallying from 3-1 down) against 19th-placed Sassuolo today. If there was a race, they could've picked up two points on us this weekend, but they failed to do so. They're not giving the league any priority, their CL spot for next year is locked up and they're more focused on the Europa League which they can still win (although I expect Leverkusen to defeat either Roma or Milan). When 2nd place has given up, there's no race.

We need to win 5 more points and then scudetto is decided.

Realistically we all know it’s just a matter of time, Milan is bound to loose additional points, as they already given up in pursuit of something else. Hopefully they win against Roma because that will mean they will field secondary team except the next.

@Kramerica Industries Thank you for putting into words everything I’m thinking.

Our season ended at Atletico effectively, with just needing a few rote wins to clinch the league. Motivation is low and players are on energy saving mode for the summer tournaments.

I have no doubt we’ll play very well against Milan in 8 days. Then I imagine we’ll see heavily rotated squads, as the 102 points record is no longer attainable (although 101 points is, and I don’t know how much that matters to Inzaghi).

We’ve had an objectively massively entertaining season, as well as a successful one. I’m afraid the end of the ride is never as exciting as the rest of it.

Its pathetic that we are praying beelan to drop more points. We look garbage. Its been like that more then month now. Forcing to play same old farts from week to week brought us there. Cut em some slack already, this isnt working right now!

It’s not as much about praying, more the fact that neither they or our players feel they have much left to play for… same happened for Napoli last term also started loosing steam…

It’s incredible difficult motivating yourself under such circumstances, it’s rather understandable that we don’t see them give more, it’s frustrating to watch and wittiness especially as we could have sealed it now if not for us throwing away points agains Napoli and tonight… but at the same time it’s mentally a challenge especially once your probably physically tired as well, they are humans after all.

I still dislike it, but we probably forget it the moment they stand with the trophy

We were lucky against Udinese and tonight Cagliari missed a sitter in dying seconds. They had more chances than us in this game. This was unexcusable. We play every 7 days right now. Wtf is this?

You have to try to lose such shit as Cagliari, but I think it will be a different game against bb. We will have great motivation to celebrate the championship in this game.

We better secure it in the derby or after that in the next home game (while Milan play vs Juventus). Doesn't need to be in a lousy away stadium.

I’m not saying it isn’t, just that it’s mentally a challenge motivating yourself, especially when you see second place more or less given up pursuing you…

At end of days we will still win we lack 5 points

Don't get me wrong, we were shit today, but your negativity is giving me (and I believe a lot of other members here), indigestion.

I wanted to quote all your negative posts today, but I realized that will take until the until the end of season and by that time it won't matter because we will be champions as we have a 14 POINTS LEAD!!11

Just take a break and take your negativity elsewhere and let things burn for a while, it's only then and there you realize where you need improve, if you see what I tried to do here, but trolls usually don't.

Yeah, the CL defeat definitely disturbed the whole atmosphere in the team. You can feel it through the body language of the players.

If anything - and I realize there's a raft of explanatory reasons to explain what happened to Napoli this season, so I'm not trying to be overly reductionist on the basis of one potentially far-fetched thing - that would be my actual possible concern, the idea of late-season indifference bleeding at all into next season. Napoli were runaway league winners last year, they had a bigger lead at the top than we do even, and one season turns to the next and everything got worse for them. That's the cautionary tale here to try and avoid. Anything else that involves the topic of this season is nothing more than simply delaying the inevitable.

We’ve had an objectively massively entertaining season, as well as a successful one. I’m afraid the end of the ride is never as exciting as the rest of it.

The journey is always more rewarding than the destination itself. You celebrate the triumphs that get you closer to the trophy. Once you've won the trophy...now what? Especially in a round robin league campaign, many times that trophy is won under the most anti-climactic of circumstances.

I wasn't following the club during the Mancini or Mourinho years. 2021 was my first Scudetto. How was that Scudetto won? While I was at church, when Inter wasn't playing, it was clinched because Atalanta drew against Sassuolo, and once I was out of church I was busy working the entire rest of the day. That Scudetto celebration for me might as well have never happened, by the time I had any chance to celebrate it at all, the organic nature of the celebration had worn off. It was already bad enough that we won it while watching at home...watching Bayer Leverkusen today, I'm so happy they had the chance to not only clinch it in front of their home fans, but that they got to clinch it by winning the game right in front of them. Their championship was clinched at the final whistle of their game, not some other game taking place at a different time. Regardless...that didn't take any of the joy or color out of what happened in the run-up to the 2021 Scudetto for me, those moments were what shaped the journey. This season is no different in that regard.

I just hope that, at a minimum, we don't lose next week's game. With a win, we win the Scudetto against Milan, which speaks for itself. With a draw, we won't clinch the Scudetto, but we still put ourselves in a win-and-clinch Scudetto scenario for the following week in a home game, which is the next best thing. Give me either, I have a preference for the former but either is fine. Just no clinching the Scudetto away (otherwise), and no clinching the Scudetto sitting on our asses. Boring.

I think that players are dead tired plus there is some mental issue goin on cause we cant beat Cagliari at home right now. Limone needs to wake up the players and ignite into them some boost cause this looks shit right now. I dont want us to end this season on bad note, we were flying most of the season.

Napoli didn’t self implode because of them loosing steam a season before, they imploded because of the issues revolving their winning coach, replacing a coach the way Napoli did was bound to have dire consequences.

Also they achieved what was a long thought goal… for such a minor team tiredness is not unusual thing to happen the following especially not with the other things happening.

Inter is a completely different level of a team, if you won one season it’s expected you also win the following this is in stark contrast to teams like Napoli.

What a shame to lose the points record on a handball, but all focus on beating Milan now.
Couldn't care less about points record. Secure Scudetto and give minutes to Bisseck,Frattesi,Buchanan...

Also I have zero problems with a draw today. Unlike many it seems.

Kudos to Ranieri, he saw no protection between CBs and MFs, puching right to that space, Cagliari has personnel to do that.

As for us, missing Lautaro does hurt on pressing early and cutting counter from opponent half. Plus we don’t play with hustle as usual.

A draw is OK, I want derby win, it’s always good for our morale.
