Despite taking good shots, I thought Politano was very sloppy in possession throughout the game. Valero was fantastic throughout and ran the show. Dalbert was surprisingly good. Inter didn't really control the game for some parts if the second half, but got three points nonetheless.

This has to be the most convincing Inter performance this season. That it came with a few of our sure starters on the bench is surprising.

Lautaro: I had the impression that the dude has to work on his finishing, and that was reinforced tonight. He will get there, but I loved his attitude and general ability and linkup play in the game. He has the most important ingredient of all, which is the mindset. A lot of other things will improve.
Candreva: Fucking disgrace yet again. I thought he couldn't be worse than what he was in the previous game, but well..

Nainggolan has been super disappointing so far. Expensive player but doesn't show much.

He had couple of very key passes that enabled us nice counter attacks. The quality is there, he just isn't a trequartista in that modern sense a la Rafinha.
Also his presence is felt, the attitude, that stuff is great for morale and it spreads among the players. He brings a lot more than that he takes away with his occasionally lackluster moves. Also I get that he appears very lazy in the sense that he doesn't really want to be here all that much, and it pisses me off to be honest, but I think he understands that he is 30 years old and that Inter is his probably last chance to actually win something in his career.

I would still like to see Lautaro in his position with Icardi as a classic striker, Keita on the left and Politano on the right. I want to see what we can do with a 100% focused attacking formation.

The headers weren't that easy imo, as the first one was a bit too high. I wouldn't really use the fact that a central defender didn't score as a way to diminish his performance, especially the fact that he's actually getting in these positions which is more of a testament of how dangerous he is in the air. The second header could've been better but it's not as if he was alone in front of goal with no Cagliari player around him - he won the header ahead of other players there.

sdv is a pure class, his pass accuracy is wonderful and his moves are calm and confident.

toro is promising. he needs to play more.

happy for poli first goal. very hard working and attack-minded player.
