Inter striker Samuel Eto'o is hoping his team can do a Barcelona against Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

As a Barca player, it was Eto'o who triumphed when the Spanish side beat Chelsea in the semi-final of the competition last season, and then went on to win the trophy against Manchester United in the final.

He has fired a warning shot to the Blues, and he is ready to repeat the success he enjoyed last term.

"My experience against the English teams was very positive last season and now I hope to repeat myself against the Blues," he told Sky Sports News.

"[Jose] Mourinho has explained every little secret from Chelsea's defence and so it will be a balanced and tactical game.

"We must remain calm because being anxious is negative."

It appears Eto'o is fired up. Can he actually translate these words into goals though?

We all say that stopping Drogba will be key in this match, but no one think that if they isolate Sneider we are fucked too. That's why i think that Pandev must play, in case Sneider is well marked, so we will have another creative player. For this reason i think that 4-2-3-1 is most adequate formation. Because we'll need Eto'o and Milito too. If we get result home, than in the second leg 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1 will be perfect to held a good result.
I would go with this formation:
First leg:
Cezar
Maicon Samuel Lucio Zaneti
Stankovic Cambiasso
Pandev Sneider Eto'o

Well, maybe somebody mentioned before,but i will mention again:
because i have watched a lot of chelsea games we should start very offensive at least in the first 10-15 min. If you see chelsea statistic they are weaker at the begging then the rest of the game. Also we should try more long distance shots, because lately Cheh is making misjudgments on this long distance shots.
So according to this i would start with 4-2-3-1

anybody that thinks eto'o is not starting this game is being rather naive
if mou starts pandev with eto'o, milito, and sneijder, i'd be extremely surprised (and disappointed)
it's the first leg and being risky at this stage is being stupid...


i would really like to hope that the past events over the weekend can stir up a strong mentality for this game...

i am taking time off work to see this game (in glorious HD)..

Most likely Chelsea will lineup with only 1 genuine winger at best (Malouda). They are playing their reserve fullbacks, so i wouldn't say they are particularly strong in the wide areas. The spine of their team seems much stronger (Carvalho, Terry, Ballack, Lampard, Drogba).
