But that's always a two sided blade - you can get overconfident and lose the game, it has been known to happen. But yeah in light of your premise that Coppa is of no real significance I guess your conclusion is correct.
However, I would personally like it if we took both Scudetto and Coppa this year. I don't want Roma to take it again.

Roma will be sorry to face us in the coppa italia final this year, because we are not the team that they have beaten in two consecutive finals in 2006/2007 and 2007/2008. We will get our revenge. Let's just wait and see.

Also because established players should be given their rest so that they can perform better in real matches. Also because our less played players are not exactly totally poor players.

PS - As for putting the side Suneet, I would like to win it too..but I agree with Cafe. Our reserves or bench players are better than most sides in it. They definitely deserve to get some chances. If we are not fighting for CL, then fine but the same first team should fight for everything.

10 years of FIFI thought it was that way too. But when we check what happened in 2006...well what happened? We were awarded the Scudetto so we're in Super Coppa final. Roma won the Coppa Italia so they're in too. And before the Calciopoli in that summer, it was Milan who finished second in 2005/2006, not Inter (if Super Coppa would have been before the Calciopoli judgements). So the rule didn't apply in 2006.

Luka and Wikepedia maybe right but I am not sure about this. I also though it was the runner up in serie a if one team did the double.
