45min of decent performance doesn't convince me to speak of a quality midfielder.
Don't get me wrong, I respect him in any way and I hope he'll be of good use as long as he plays for Inter. He played below average in my opinion the last few games but that was to be expected since he had a break because of his injury. Nevertheless, I'm happy seeing him progress in his game.
I just thought it was odd for Strama to point out Deki when speaking of a quality midfield, when Obi and Poli delivered really great performances the last few games.
After we lost Motta, Deki is the only def.mid./central mid. who passes the ball all over the place and not only 2m-5m short passes or direct balls in the depth for Milito (as does almost every one of our midfielders except Poli). Deki played today with instructions as a sort of Pirlo, and until he had it, he did really well. First goal started from him, second one was his invention, and there were a couple of long passes over the whole pitch where I was just
It's true that he cannot do a whole match with this tempo and kudos to Strama for having the balls to substitute him and not Poli (like Ranieri'd do probably). I think it was pretty obvious that after Deki went out, we lost a lot in ball posession and in the construction of offensive actions.
I cannot wait to see what Strama will do with Alvarez, this will be pretty interesting...
