Only if juve and inter keep winning all other games

Looking at the run so far, draws/defeats will be pretty even anyway so the six pointer between the teams will definitely play a huge factor in the Scudetto race. We absolutely cannot lose it and prefer to win it to have an advantage in tiebreaker (depends on goals in the second encounter).

Lastly, a few words about our guys at Genoa. I've always liked Thiago Motta as a player and wish him the best for his coaching career. But at the moment he seems to me like one of those hipster coaches whose tactics are bold, revolutionary, ground-breaking even, but only on paper. I think he needs to get real and stick to the basics, at least for now, because I fear he won't last long if he persists in trying to build from the back with the shitters he has at Genoa. As for Pinamonti, his season so far has been pretty underwhelming. I watched him play on several occasions, and he almost always failed to impress me. Also, he usually play a bit like a wuss, so I was surprised to see him elbow de Vrij. I get he wanted to prove himself to Inter, but cool down kid. Radu's season hasn't been brilliant either, but he can pull off a good save from time to time. Neither are ready for Inter, though. Not in the foreseeable future, at least.

Apparently Perin to Genoa on a loan + option is almost done. RIP Radu I guess. What I saw during the match echoes what I've said previously. Using his feet as a "sweeper keeper", and in terms of his positioning, Radu needs a lot of improvement. As for purely being a shot-stopper, he looks very talented. Similar to Dragowski in that sense - a good amount of natural talent but quite unrefined in certain areas.

Radu is definitely not ready to replace Handanovic any time soon but he's worth keeping a hold of IMO. I hope this Perin move doesn't derail his development, and that Genoa avoid relegation (purely for our sake as a regular business partner.)

It's going to be tough though. Genoa have a dismal squad and an amateur coach. No matter how innovative his tactics may or may not be, implementing any system on a weak squad is another matter all together. Simply put, his concepts seem too highbrow for this relegation squad - and that's not to even say his concepts are any good either. Motta's got a colossal job on his hands to save the team from relegation. Realistically, I suspect he'll get fired pretty soon.

I've also been disappointed by Pinamonti. It can be hard to judge young players, especially in such an un-glamorous team, looking to avoid relegation. But in a word, he's been shit. He tends to completely disappear from games. You wouldn't even know he's on the pitch 90% of the time.

You'd expect more based on his size but it would be a complete lie to say he uses his physique well - he gets bullied off the ball easily and beaten in the air. Although he scored a couple of medium/long-range screamers last year, he doesn't drop deep very much anymore and his linkup play and overall involvement is poor. He's not at all clinical with these scrappy half-chances that sometimes fall to him either.

Kouame is a significantly better player and Genoa miss him dearly. In his absence I was hoping Pinamonti would step up a bit but he's not yet ready.

If I'm not mistaken, he's coming back to Inter at the end of the season. He's been so poor that that's a bad thing and I'm not looking forward to it. Not that he's going to play here or anything, but we'll need to spend resources finding him another crap team where he can play. And based on this season so far, he's not going to attract many suitors.

There's absolutely no way in hell we're beating Genoa with the reserves and practically with a referee from a die hard juBentino family. Absolutely ssszero percent.
anti-jinx worked. I think it would have been too obvious, but shit with refs is still present in Italy. Just look how many times ruBentus were saved/forgiven by the refs in this initial part of the season! Hate them.

on another note, Sacchi talking about Conte`s system against Genoa.

Arrigo Sacchi expects “a more uncertain and balanced title race” this season, with Juventus having to fight off Inter and “surprise package Lazio.”

The Scudetto race is surprisingly open as we approach the midway stage, as Juve and Inter are joint leaders on 42 points, followed by Lazio (who have a game in hand) on 36.

Roma aren’t too far behind on 35, then Atalanta are on 31, but have so far been distracted by the Champions League.

“The Juve side that dominated over eight years will now have to deal with not only the surprise package Lazio, but also Antonio Conte’s Inter,” wrote Milan legend Sacchi in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Inter are going to be a tough opponent to the very end. Their team spirit and motivation are already sky high, the capabilities of their coach beyond question.

“This is going to be a more uncertain and balanced title race than in previous seasons. I hope it’ll be more entertaining and that at the end of the day, the team that deserves it the most comes out victorious.”

Missing Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic through suspension, Sacchi saw Inter’s 4-0 win over Genoa as a sign of what is to come.

“The Nerazzurri, despite the many injuries, comfortably shrugged off Genoa 4-0. Inter played very well at the weekend, with good moves and evident progress in their football.

“It was the usual 3-5-2 formation, but with a much more attacking interpretation, both from the three defenders, but above all Cristiano Biraghi and Antonio Candreva on the wings.

“When going forward, Conte’s men practiced quick possession, keeping the ball to feet with continual changes of play. They advance more with passes than long balls, keep small distances between players and can rely on the brute force of a centre-forward like Romelu Lukaku, the generous protagonist of the game.

“The biggest development for Inter was the pressing, which kept Genoa in a constant state of confusion.”

I got so used to getting fucked in the ass by Inter that I stopped using condoms. Good reminder. Thanks, Native.

As far as I know he was sold to Genoa with a "gentlemen agreement on buyback" that we can buy him back next summer. Dunno if that agreement was that we WILL buy him back. Genoa surely helped us with the FFP with this deal even though last summer Pinamonti was very highly rated and the price of 18m€ didn't felt big at all.
