Adriano - #10
Definately a crappy weekend for me, not only was this site down but my cable has problems and I've been pretty much isolated for 2 days from info. I still saw the goals though, but sadly not the game. Another goal for Cruz who has been scoring very well for us (4 in 3) hopefully he keeps it up and sparks Adriano to do the same.

A 3-0 victory is the kind that the team needed to get it's confidence backup and I'm happy the side went in and got the job done. Hopefully this is the start of an amazing run.

£igo was awful against Lecce, just plain awful against a team that´s probably the worst in Serie A at the moment. Sure he needs to adapt, but saying he´s playing great already is a huge overstatement. Look at Semioli and you see a class act game after game. I wish we could buy him...oh wait...we had him already, but we wanted to sign aging "superstar" to sell some jerseys instead. :wallbang::D

Are you Tommy-boy freaking serious? I think that you saw the match anyway, with your million-dollar-satellite-system. :D

I haven't seen Semioli lately, but Figo wasn't "plain awful" against Lecce. Definately worked very well with Ze Maria and was able to stay quite well on the flank. His passes were very good. If something, his defending was maybe little weaker than in earlier matches. But the match was so clear, so early.Figo isn't only jersey-guy for us. He has already showed he has strengthen us and he'll just keep improving. Maybe I'll get his jersey myself. :p

Adriano was a freaking teamplayer in this one, like somebody sayed. At the end he was a little bit tired maybe, but didn't play bad match at all. In my opinion earned a penalty for us. That was freaking awesome and the defender just threw his scissors from behind. Penalty.

Well..I must say that yur discussion is very veeery stupid...About Figo and rest...Goal.com announced serie a team of the week.. in 343 formation we have: Cesar on goal,Cordoba,Figo,Stankovic and Cruz..Pretty impressive ha?? So who says we played badly???!!!! And one more thing..Coco was also there..It could mean something..

Loving your avatar Ari ;)

Many sources including Gazzetta said that Figo was one of our best players against Lecce.

If £igo was one of our best players against Lecce, then i am a pope.

I said "Sure he needs to adapt, but saying he´s playing great already is a huge overstatement." and i´m not backing up what i said. Sure he can be a bonus for us in this season, but he wasn´t good against Lecce. Dont let my hatred towards him fool you, but at best he was average few days ago. You know what´s funny...is that because his name is £igo, he´s praised even if he plays like a one legged bunny. He still can dribble (occasionally), but he is as fast as a snail. If Stankovic would´ve played like £igo did against Lecce, then you guys would´ve been pissed and sended him to hell, think about it...

Yeah, i thought so too. Though i think Figo would get his form back one way or the other, he was average at Lecce. But at least he wasn't our worst player that night, Veron and Matrix were, in my opinion.

I still regret Mancio's decision to play Adriano in the Lecce match. Sure the Lecce match was important to get us back to winning ways, but compared to our next two fixtures, it was relatively easy. Martins and Cruz showed they could have done it by themselves. ;)

Figo actually isn't that slow. It came as a surprise to me that he wasn't even slow IMO for example against Lecce.

Stanko played well, but it's hard to compere him to Figo. He plays way more centrally than Figo does. Figo gives us extra weapon. Effectivity to flank. Stankovic' natural postion is CM or AM and you can see that. He can't stay next to line, he goes to center.

If we had another Stanko-type of player on right, we'd be much weaker offensively. We'd be like we were playing Stanko - Cuchu - CZ - Veron with only poorer defensive abilities.

???????????
I agree on Matrix but Figo and Veron ?? There were a lot of worse Players like ZE, Deki and Cambiasso.
I mean Veron did not do many false passes like Cambiasso ore Ze. And even if he was not too good in offensive play, but he did a lot of defence work when Cambiasso wasent there. On Figo i think he was best in our squad, he was involved in almost every offensive move. And gave some great passes only thing u may critisice on him is that his team mates somtimes diden t understand what he wanted and maybe his deffensive work.
