Must have been a terrible experience - and again not the time or place here - but Heysel was sort of a retaliation against an Italian team for what happened a year earlier with Roma, against people who had no idea of what was going on.I was at Heysel unfortunately, and stopped going the match after that for 4 years. It's a sickening memory, I started going again after Hillsborough. Roma fans seem to like attacking ANY fan, we had this with them since we beat them in their own stadium to win the Euro Cup. When the Roma fans were slashing and attacking even family groups. Juve I understand theirhate, for obvious reasons. The main trouble between Lpool fans and Italian clubs 'recently' is with Napoli though, really bad relationship.
Lfc fans attacked and stabbed in Naples, so revenge was sought in the home game. Napoli fans were jumping into taxi's to get away, but were dragged out of the taxi's and beaten up. Fckin stupid, needless tit for tat violence, I prefer having a bevvy with the opposition and seeing how they view things, for a change
Roma fans in general like to pretend they're boss. To this day, along with perhaps Atalanta, they're the most dangerous bunch.
Napoli is like Leeds and Millwall combined to put it in English football terms. Everyone hates them and they hate everyone. But it's Italy, so there's a lot of regional geopolitics involved.
You could perhaps be in a position to have a bevvy with the Sassuolo fans
