I think both teams would theoretically be happy with a draw here so as to not lose momentum post international break.

This feels like it could be one for the ages, but I actually foresee quite a passive derby, bar any massive events in the first 15 mins.

I might actually miss it, which sucks. Will desperately be searching for a sports bar.
It might be passive yeah, especially if you consider international break, it makes sense. We're playing white here though so I don't see us settling for a draw in front of our fans

I think we were asking for trouble against Simone's system last season. That 2 v 5 midfield tactic was madness. This season with the 3 man mid and inverted fullbacks will even things up a bit although we will give up the wings to your wingbacks. Those switches of play to Dumfries and DiMarco are very annoying especially in transition. There's not much pace in the team but Inter uses what they have well and always look dangerous on the break. What Fiorentina did was absolutely suicidal. That painfully slow buildup was tailor-made for punishment on the break. Remains to be seen what Pioli's approach will be but I think we will have learnt some lessons this time around..
Bro If you're gonna go City on us you will be murdered. Calabria is your weakest link with Kalulu and you want him to be inverted fullB making runs into the middle Stones style

It's funny how Pioli still havent figured out how to beat us despite us playing the same tactic and players over and over again. :DHe has tried full attacking Liverpool on us, then he bunkered down and went full Mourinho on us with 3atb, then he changed back to 4321 etc and still got slapped with only managing few shots on Onana . Now he will be Pep Guardiola on us.

Alright. Alright alright.

Well at this point what else is left for Padre Pioli to do lol
I think his players let him down, mental issue.

We didn't lost Scudetto because of that derby defeat. Scudetto was lost because we neglected "less" important matches. We were way too naive back then. It's not like we are the best team out there, but at least it seems like there is an improvement in this area, and the group seems to approach games VERY carefully and focused.
ofc, if we won some other games, we would still be champions. But that match was crucial. If we won that, we would go on 7 points difference. There would be much less pressure on us and big pressure on ACM. But they won, they "got wings" after that game, and the rest is history.

We struggle against players who can run at defenders and drag them out of shape. Just look at how that Lovumbo shitter from Cagliari was terrorising us.

In addition to Leao, Milan have added Pulisic and some midfielders who can bring the ball forward and create momentum. They definitely have potential to do some damage on the counter, especially if we continue to play too fast and loose in transition ourselves and give the ball away needlessly. With Tomori out though (who I don't rate anyway) their defence is vulnerable.

Thiaw is more than capable to cover for Tomori, alongside Kalulu. As a matter of fact, I think that's even going to be better for them. Tomori hasn't been as good lately, especially against Bologna and Roma.

Leao and Pulisic have to do defensive duty, if not good luck to control the ball and move forward.

Midfield will be a battle as usual, with both Thuram and Lauti are good at dropping down and handling pressure, I think we get a bit advantage on this.

Milan is left leaning side with Theo - Rejinders - Leao, we shouldn’t allow space on this side.

Wonder who will start for them in CB role, Kalulu or Kjaer, but likely Pioli would use Thiaw on Thuram.

Kicking their ass once again would be priceless after all the hype around their team.
They hype their own team, nobody is hyping them.

They are definitely better than last year. RLC is very physical . Similar to what Kessie was. But currently their key player is Rjeinders, he's moving around alot and his passing has to be put on alert, but Inzaghi and his experienced assiastants already knows better how to tackle this guy.

Leao's game is known for us , but he's still a danger despite us silencing him in the most derbies. Giroud will be a ghost if we have Acerbi back. I think we're gonna silence Pulisic too, he has tricks on his sleeve, but he's not so fast so easily containable imo.

Milanisti will hype their attack, I will say that our attack is way more better after what I've seen from Thuram now. Together with Lautaro these 2 will be a menace to anyone who is replacing Tomori.

Motivation and mindset plays the ultimate role in this fixture. Even without so many of previous Madonnina's best players Lukaku, Brozo etc Im still confident our players will give a maximum effort and a bit more. Our italian core simply knows what is at stake better vs the any freshmen year soldiers, can hold their nerve better infront of screaming 85k Meazza.

Trust Barella, Bastoni, Darmian , Acerbi, DiMarco being the stars of the show again, not to mention our WC attackers.

They also have Chukwueze and Okafor on the bench, which I rate higher than Sanchez and Arnautović. It's speed that we might not be able to manage in the second half.

So I'm hoping we will score a goal in the first half and lock the shop.

We will score two goals in the first half, then Milan will have to open up (we will suffer a little) and Inter will score a third in the very end of the match for 3 - 0. Forzaaa!

This Louvumbo will be a star. He looks like amazing prospect with his speed, dribble and no fear attitude.
I think that we need to put the weight on the right side on this one since i can see Leao makes less defense runs than Pulisic plus i really prefer Leao chasing Dumfries for deffense duties. Hopefully Dumfries will have one of these games where he plays instinctly and not overthinking and trashing the opportunities.
I want to see Barella shine in this one because this is where we really need him in top form. Milan midfield is really good IMO and got a massive upgrade over the last year.
Forza Inter!

I am not even remotely worried about Milan. Pulisic is a pussy whose biggest impact is that he looks exciting in his inability to finish. Leao straight disappears, he is world class in talent but not the scorer who can carry a team, rather he is an ancillary piece.

Our midfield is going to run all over them. We're gonna tattoo that ass.
