You know, Lord knows I have no vested interest in defending Conte, but he really has no control over players missing headers from inside the box (especially the goalkeeper box). Even Pep has said before that his job is to get the players into the final third, and it's up to the players from there to figure things out.

Looking at our line-up, De Vrij, Ranocchia and Kolarov at back 3 against Gervinho was a disaster waiting to happen. The only possible solution that I can think of is swithcing to back 4 which suits the available players. Here's where Conte's problem emerges. He doesn't switch his formation, and he hasn't chosen the right defenders in mercato.

This is definitely 100% on Conte. The players have done their best including Perisic and Kolarov. It's not their normal role. They can't do any better. Conte should have a plan B when we miss key players. He clearly has only one formation which is why we lost the 2 points today.

Not that sharp second half and Parma took their two chances, sadly we can only score one goal from 3-5 great changes! But overall our guys are giving their all and we are creating many chances to score.

It will be long season and if we start to score of those chances and make few less mistakes and we will be in tittle fight. But if we continue missing those chances we will be fighting for 4th place.

Kolarov, Perisic Brozovic all played well in the second half and at least were looking to do something and go forward. This defense will leak goals regardless if Kolarov or Nesta are playing.
