Terrible performance. Are they fucking scared again? Where's the aggressiveness, where's the passion, where's the determination? Did Inzaghi tell them to take it easy as it's only 1st leg or what the fuck?

Without that red, I don't think we would have scored. Of course we forced that red but still. Not happy with this performance but obviously happy with the crucially important win.

The problem with this team is that when Barella is on fire, one of Hakan, Miki goes missing or when Hakan shines, the other two play shit and etc. When 3 of them are in beast mode, noone can stop us. Hopefully with Brozo back in the business, we will see our midfield trio functioning superbly.

P.S. Hakan was really awesome tonight

it could have been 2: 0 if Lautaro would not miss that easy chance.

People are being quite harsh with the performance. Porto is a very able side that competes for trophies every year. They're not supposed to be pushovers.
Just like CSKA weren't an easy team to face in the QFs in 2010. Or Ajax or Porto themselves in the mid 2000s.

Performance was decent, some players had shaky moments, but this tie was never going to be decided after the first game.

There are causes for concern, obviously, but the performance wasn't as alarming as you're making it sound.

Maybe not alarming but let A LOT to be improved. It looked like based on Udinese and this game, we are back in the early season fashion of making mistakes with the ball in the midfield which then leads to dangerous counters.

Meazza should be our fortress where we dominate.

And Barella should wake the FUCK UP to these games.

The team just plays crap football in general. I am in general tired of it, it was one thing to follow a specific plan with Conte that you also knew would work and win, but otherwise I am sick of this. It's time to end this 3-5-2 era. Bring in a proper coach (that'll happen) and play a normal formation. And I don't want to hear about personell not fititng , this isn't working any more.

He was late on Lukaku's cross

Lukaku's low-cross was difficult to be reached unless you are a Haaland or "out of this world" pacy striker. I don't mean to complain over Lukaku's pass, but seriously Lautaro did his best to reach it, and he couldn't in the end.

We didn't even create any real chance last night. You guys gotta chill and be realistic when judging players' performance. Not everything has to come out of emotion right away.

We are all frustrated, but this wasn't one of these matches while we missed golden opportunities like other times we do in the league.

I will take that win considering how the game was going, could be also a 0-0 or even a loss, we made too many stupid mistakes in my oppinion. If we concede like that against Real they will destroy us like with Liverpool.

It was a poor game from us but even if we qualify that's already a great result no matter how it's achieved.

That aside, this really shows what I've said for a while though - in terms of quality of players even our best players show up short at the top level. They look like top class players in our league and against shit European opposition's but when you step up the game it's a real problem. Look at late 00s Inter as another good example of that, we had to change 6 of the starting XI to get past the CL quarters/r16, and those changes were the ones for the most part that made the big difference (eg most goals came from Milito or stop, sneijder and Motta were key, Lucio, etc.)

This. Lukaku's pass was good. The reply showed there wasn't space for any kind of other pass. Maybe some inside curling pass could have reached Toro but that would be so hard to pull off to hit perfectly, there were many defenders in between. Lautaro simply couldn't reach it, it wasn't because he fucked up some easy touch or anything.

The header in the first half was the easy chance, should bury those. His reaction tells it all.
