was that our last match behind the closed doors???

If I remember well we had a three game ban, so after the matches against Sachtar, Rangers and this one the Meazza doors will be open again.

A very important win! :finger:
Well done fellas, you sure know how to agonise us...
Mancio must have smoked 20000 cigarettes, if he doesn't smoke I bet he started it today! :D

If anyone could give a match report and ratings would be nice.

No it was a 4 match ban, and if our fans screw it up again we will get two more. ;)

Oh man... :wallbang:

And guess what???? Veron and Pizarro canNOT play together..What a surprise!!

Its not like that. Its more like that Veron can not play at all. Pizarro is fine playing with whoever.

Beautiful! :proud:

Julio SuperSub Cruz does what he does best and knocks in 2 to give us the lead over Porto. Pizarro would be my MOM and runner-up Cruz. :star:

In the first half, you can notice that all wasn't well with Adriano because he was constantly limping and holding his shoulder. After he got subbed I'm pretty sure he went to get treatment in the dressing room...at least I hope.. :scared:

Vitor Baia is completely insane, insane as in awesome, awesome as in he's a sick goalkeeper.

PS:  to siwnetdeer for saying something positive about Cambiasso, it's about f-cking time.

They cant your right but if there was one game this is it..Let me explain why:

Porto is not in great shape

Cambiasso needs some rest

CZ has the flu

Pizzaro definately needs to play to click better with the team for Lazio game.I think the objective here was achieved.

It was either Veron or MaBoumsong to partner him and to tell you the truth Veron ran alot and they really were not a headache for us.

The next game is against Artmedia and will be the last with the ban.

Now Mancini is guilty of not playing a non-fit Zanetti? Some of you guys are pathetic.

I forgot thank God that Cordoba didn´t play. I wouldnt mind seeing him remain on the bench in favour of Burdisso both on the right and eventually in the centre to.

I also wonder why it was Samuel who got subbed and not materazzi?.....any rational reason for that?

My ratings:

Julio Cesar - 6.5

Burdisso - 6.5
Samuel - 7
Materazzi - 6.5
Favalli - 6.5

Figo - 7
Veron - 5
Pizarro - 8
Wome - 4.5

Adriano - 5
Martins - 5.5

Cambiasso, Cruz and Mihajlovic were all good like 6-7 in rating.

This just cracked me up.. From Sky Sports..

"Internazionale came from behind to sink Porto 2-1. A terrific free kick from Hugo Almeida stunned the home side but two goals from Julio Cruz, the first a penalty, cheered the San Siro crowd"

San Siro crowd? Umm... Was I missing something?!

& I second what Frisko just said, just admit Mancio was bloody right & u were all wrong for slagging off his formation etc... Grandad wasn't that bad in the 15 mins I watched & he can hardly play injured players..

seems to me wome is still affected emotionally by the penalty miss in the cameroon match,he has to react by doing something in a match, getting a goal or doing an assist or something,i hope it gets better for him.

Burdisso is such a central defender it is cracking me up. :D More or less failed on each pass he made and his crosses were horrendous. But he did make a lot of offensive runs. But a right back he is not.

Crappy game, where Porto didn't even deserve to win even if we played like crap. The Adriano-Martins duo is depressing me. Cruz comes on and scores twice.

Wome is really a bad player. God knows I like his passion and determination but with the ball, he is really bad.

Three points thought. That is.... good.

What makes some of you think Janetti is still unfit..so we never start him?... I would rather have Janetti than Burdisso ... we could have lost the match .. last minute equalisers and winners do not always come especially inside the CLOSED DOORS...

Mancini did well with the subs, I'll give him that but he needs to stop with this deranged Veron and Piza experiment. It's almost a guarantee one of them is going to be crappy while the other will be above-average.

We were lucky Porto are such an average team; any strong team would have beat the shite out of us with the lineup Mancini fielded. And now I gotta go to work, somewhat less pessimistic than I was an hour ago.... but not much. ;)

I heartily thank whoever placed their bets on Cruz, as this guy along with Recoba, has been the epitome of a "supersub" in his time here!

Grazie Cruz!

(and good to see Pizarro playing without stress!)

J. Zanetti, Fig
I can't believe J.Zanetti didn't play. That makes me angry.

It sounds like we played shit and Cruz saved our asses in the last 15 minutes.

The most important this is, we are almost definitely into the second round,

Miha's free kicks are awesome, I rate him second only to juninho. Too bad he is soo old and can't defend properly, otherwise I would have loved to see him in our starting line up.
