Javier Zanetti,
Eindhoven is going to absolutely FLOG us, but because of the players we have and not because of the bumbling smiling clown on the sideline ( Mancini ) we will miraculously scrape a draw. Ahhh yes, I can see PSV running circles around us now.

Well, we won against Feyenoord. Fantastic match with a fantastic Perez!
We bought him from Ajax for less then a million. He's already 33 but he turned into a fantastic player is his late days..

The 1-0 (Perez):http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=17R6F4mG-E0
The 2-0 (Mendez):http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q_O6k20zQU
The 3-0 (Perez): http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz9zUh8DXw8
The 4-0 (Koevermans): http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=BtqZZLF0-8I

Have a look at the 3-0, a fantastic goal. But not everything was great, our defence was still making stupid mistakes , mistakes you should never make against Inter.

/edit, the highlights: http://www.psv.tv/index.php?item=if&content=player&ProductID=5337

It's fifty-fifty for him, he would be a doubt for this game. Nice to see you back Christian Chivu after all your posts in July LOL :D

I'm also a PSV fan..

We did pretty good last couple of years in CL considering our budget. And again this year it could go either way. Our game against CSKA wasn't very good, but at least we got the important 3 points. I'm really hoping to proceed to the knockout stages again.

Gomes is great. Really a crowd favorite.

Our defence is quite poor for CL standards. In Dutch competition it's fine up till now (we conceded 0 goals in Eredivisie after 5 matches), but to be honest only Salcido is CL material and there's nobody to replace Alex. Our weakest point.

Midfield is pretty decent. Should be ok.

Attack is doing ok also but they need a lot of chances to score (Lazovic mainly). Again in Eredivisie that's fine because we do get a load of chances usually but in CL it's often only a couple of good chances you get.

Well we'll see. Draw would be great result for us..

Our defence sucks badly in CL...

However, I see this match as a must win, we are playing home, and we lost in our first game...

Forza!

Javier Zanetti,
I would alos like to state, Suazo is not CL material, he absolutely foreign to this stage. We cannot rely on him. It has to be the other strikers to partner Ibra.

That must be Crespo ;)
Crespo is a garuantie of goals and Ibra is in topform and could help him very good. It will be important to score the changes we will get. I really hope Vieira is back in good condition and can play this match, that will be important. We must win if we dont want to make it very hard for ourself, we are in a difficult group and i think Fenerbahce will get 6 points out 2 matches, we cant let them slip away and see PSV is getting more points.....a win for us really will be needed.

Good news, Chivu will probably be able to play against PSV, Materazzi is still in doubt but probably wont make it. For Vieira we have to wait what the doctors think about it, there is a chance also he can play. This would be really great!!

Its on Gazzetta. Chivu want to give all to play against Roma, even with a bit pain and suffering. But he thinks that he can make it and then he can also play against PSV.
But its also on inter.it:

Can you tell us when Chivu and Materazzi are expected to return from injury?
"They are working well. I think that Chivu, with a bit of pain and suffering, could be available for Saturday. (Smiles) In fact, he has to be, so it's up to him to see how... And then he will also have to play in the Champions League.

How do you know he "is not CL material?" Only because he is "foreign to this stage?"

I want a magic ball too :D

I believe and so did all of Milano (remember the bidding war?) that Suazo is money. Be patient my friend.

i understand your support for suazo because u are hondurian as well.but till he proves he;s worth the money and worth a place in INTER squad let us ( some of us ) have some doubts.and yes,for CL he definitely hasn't got anything to do with it.i'd pick adriano in 1leg to play instead on him.no offence.
i really would like to be wrong and u to be right, but till now this hasn't proved.for the sake of inter i hope i'm wrong.

I'll be pissed if Crespo doesn't start. He's a proven goalscorer in CL.

So is Cruz, Crespo and Cruz both scored 10 goals in the CL for Inter, and Adriano is all time topscorer with 16 goals:boogy:

The defence of PSV is weak, they probably miss a few good players so we should let Ibra and Crespo start, that would be the maximum pressure on PSV. Then we must only hope for Chivu and Vieira to return, but as it is looking now they might be back on time.

See, this is too easy of an assumption (though I understand how you got there). I was Suazo's biggest critic, I have been watching him for a long time and thought he wouldn't make the cut at various stages of his career. He has proven me wrong everytime.

My confidence in Suazo derives from prior performances vs the best teams in Italy: Inter, Roma, Milan, and Juve.

His performance vs Milan last year was classic: see here

His performance vs Roma garnered him an "8" rating by some of the press: see here

He has been doing well consistently for years. Cagliari however, was a one man show and this wasn't enough to win. He should only be on if he is good enough, and what I'm saying is he is good enough. That's it. The fact that he is Honduran (not hondurian ;) ) has little to do with it.

PS: this team has some of the best forwards in the world, no question, but has NO creative midfielder to make the forwards work.

well u have to understand the fact that honduras only gives some good players once in 10years or smth like that, while brasil or argentina send hundreds of talented youngsters every year to europe.and yes,the idea and the mentality is to buy brazilian players or argentinian and not honduran.anyway, this is the inter-psv thread so i think we should put and end to it here :D
it's the first time I ever write and smth that has to do with Honduras so i thought it might be hondurian like romanian or smth like that :p my bad, sorry
