I would want the kid to get to play these kinda big matches. Atleast we would also have a rough idea if he would be good to play against Liverpool or not. He played well against Juventus in the Coppa Cup, where Juventus fielded their best team possible and played to win the tie.

Later on, lets not say - Had we used this/that player, coz I think that, in Baloteli we have got another type of player who could bring the pace to the game.

May be coz he's not fit to play, coz otherwise I doubt Mancini would want to rest Zlatan for such a big game. Or may be he wants Zlatan to be fit at any cost for the Liverpool game.:)

Even if Mario scored 5 vs roma he won't play vs pool. He isn't registered for cl and as far as I know there's no loophole to get him in.

I think playing this match with the players who will be playing against Liverpool is a good idea. I haven't really watched Rivas recently so I don't know if he's better than Burdisso. But if he is then we should play with Rivas and Chivu in the centre. I really would like to see Suazo start another match, and see what he can do.

I thought we could play anyone from our youth team?!

So...no Ibra, but Jimi's back. Seems like Jimi will start, behind Suazo-Crespo. SuperMario might get some minutes on the 2nd half. & Figo might be in for Jimi in the 2nd half. I hope.

Figo needs to play.

I'm thinking about playing Crespo alone, with Figo and Jimenez supporting him. :strong:

Sure it may not be possible for this game, since non of them is fit, but maybe in the next few games, like Liverpool. Needless to say, we have only two strikers left.

Field 3 DMs, 2 AMs and one box striker. Both Luis F and Luis J have the ability to move on the wings, switch positions and play in the middle.

Something close to Milan's christmas tree, except that we have Crespo instead of a below average striker like Gilardino.

Adnan, that's what I had been thinking..all night. Even before I knew Jimi was going to be back.

Can Jimi & Figo play together?

I was only debating about putting 2 strikers in front of them, but that will be way too risky. Something that's even more impossible.

But I really like your solution. 4-5-1 or 4-3-2-1. Imagine what will the attacking be looking like....*dreaming away*

True kylan05. Interestingly, we did play 4-5-1 in the last time we faced Roma, though the striker was Zlatan not Crespo. Who knows? everything is possible with all the injuries we have at the moment.

First, I was arguing about how we played against Roma, but in the end I agreed I was wrong. I was thinking we played 4-3-2-1, but in fact we played 4-3-3, with Figo and Cesar on wings.

Jimenez is no winger so he can't play that. As for 4-3-2-1, Mancio never used it as far as I remember. I thought he did in Roma, but he didn't. We never tried it, so Mancio won't play it.

And besides that, if you would read Mancio press conference today, he said we will play for sure with 2 strikers, and not the formation we used against Roma in the previous encounter, but Balotelli won't start. So it has to be Suazo - Crespo.

As for the rest of the team, seems Vieira will play, not sure about Dejan though, and from what Mancio said it would seem Figo will play in that game more than he did before, maybe even from the start.

Cesar

Maicon-Rivas-Chivu-Max

J.Z-Cuchu-Maniche

Figo

Suazo-Crespo

This is what I would like to see, Vieira doesnt deserve to play. Deki should stay on the bench, SuperMario can get a run out if we need goals, otherwise save him for Napoli. I doubt Zlatan will be at 100% then. Even our big squad is starting to look thin now.

No only guys who qualify for the b list. Mario doesn't since he hasn't been here for 2 seasons. He will only qualify in June. Really wished we had dropped cesar from the list and included him.:(

good to see crespo getting game time before liverpool, he could be a sick weapon for us.

as for this game, it doesnt matter who plays...were going to lose. Its not because of formation, but because of how we are playing. I dont know if thats because of tactics or because the players are just out of form, but were not even a shadow of what we were earlier this season and all of last.

I really like this brilliant attitude.

Roma lost vs siena 3-0 a a week or so ago just because they happen to get 2 very good results at home we know suddenly have no chance??

I didnt base my opinion on their form, heck I dont even know their results. What I do know and what I have seen, is that Inter just before the liverpool game and after it have been playing absolutely shit. We barely create anything, were not holding posession and were being overrun. Now tell me how you want me to have a good 'attitude' when we are about to play Roma who knowing their players, will terrorize us if we dont have our act together. remember 6-2?

To believe blindly in the team, and to look realisticly at team's chances, are two completely different things.

I'm with h2o at this one. It doesn't need an Einstein to compare games from the beginning of the season, and the last games to see, there is a hell of a difference in the way we play. And that is unfortunatly in the wrong way.

Sure everybody believe, and we might even win. But if you look with an objective eye, there is more chance of Roma beating us(even on our turf), than us beating Roma.

Roma looses from time to time, they have 1, 2 bad games, but they aren't strugling like us for almost 3 months now. We were winning a lot in the league, but we don't create much, and we had some luck in a few games. Parma, Catania and lately Samporia comes to mind.

I am actually expecting a defeat aswell. We have not managed to impose our physical stnace and hold the ball and after the pool and doria games, expecting to win this is proving quite a task.
Since I am expecting a deafeat I do fear how log we can stay top aswell. In the end lets hope the boys do get their act together and reassure us that is all back to our normal game.

Remember 4-1.;)

I know we haven't been playing well lately but neither has roma. Totti has been at his best. Mancini has been in great form but with him not being 100% I reckon it's way to close to have the attitude that we will definitely lose.

Maybe I am just blind but don't see how some of you can consider roma as huge favourites for this game. I consider this way too close to call. We will see tomorrow how was right.
