A little bit too nervous, a little bit too slow and hence we were caught on the back foot for the first 20. We then started to play a touch better and managed to cause a few threats going forward.
Note worthy is that Viera looks very rusty indeed – not only he isn’t as sharp the rest of the crew, but he also gave away way too many simple passes. Matrix has been superb so far.

Oh and btw what a horrid and cheap shot by Panucci on Burdisso.

Don't forget that Nico is not playing at his best spot. We can't blame too much. But for one thing I'm pretty sure of is that Vieira is obviously under-performing tonight.

We are not playing well at all. We look like the away team with little possession, longs balls, and only looking dangerous on the counter. I woud like Mancini to introduce Cambiasso, Maxwell and Figo but that can't really all happen at once. Figo is a must though.

Don't agree. He won loads of balls, only late in game got two times slightly owned by Totti in middle of the park. In air he was absolute king again.

Agree 100%. Nico's prefered position is in centar defense.
Materazzi play good, Cordoba not so bad but could be better.
Stankovic and Viera worst players on the pitch.

Hopefully we'll have a little more spirit in the second...some decent chances late as said but nothing spectacular. Seems like Mexes was a little put down after his yellow card and gave Zlatan a little more room than he would have liked to.
