Everyone stop this nonsense. The spirit of inter is so broker right now " even taking deki out will brake even more.
Some players think this inter is lost forever but its not they have caused this ( old players are falling out ), but what i know even fucking Deki gives all( dont call me deki fan). For some reason Deki played well. the way we play now is controling the ball insted of using defense minded game that JM used.
This is Stramm he uses deki for deliver the ball up field ( thats why Cambiaso is up there to make sure to cover the space for Stanko. )
I see this as a good match, This was the best game for stramm imo.
Zarate plays for the team FFS its not easy to change the team for one day.
Get Real this is FM OR FIFA 2012, this is real life and it takes time to recover from shock season.
After all they are human ( only JZ is from anyther galaxy )
I agree completly. Good statement.
Finally Inter is trying to create the game and not only demolish it as in the last three months. Today I could see some improvement in ball posession / ball control and there was finally a point in our construction of the game. Yes, we are far from good, but if I compare this to what I saw in the last three months, the difference is there for all to see. We played against on of the most tactically disciplined teams in serie A right now, a team whose main weapon is an agressive deconstruction of the game with lightning fast counter-attacks (which were by the way our weakest point in our last three months!!!) and we won. You could see, that our boys now at least know what is their job, where should they move and how should they play or where to send the ball.
Having said that, I think getting 3. place is nearly impossible because we do not have the freshness to achieve that right now. I do not put my hopes in that very much as in to Stramaccioni - I really hope this guy stays with us for next season, because he regenerated the team mentally - I cannot remember the last time we played like we did today between 50' and 70', I cannot remember when I saw this will to fight for the balls, the wish to attack (even after we scored the penalty, we still were attacking - tell me the last game that you saw that? I would really have to look...) and the strength to always try to play the ball - not only long balls, but short passes. I agree it's not the strongest opponent and that our play was not smooth or fast as it would need to be, but with what players he has and the situation we're in, this guy surely did something to get 7 points in three matches (Ranieri got 6 points in the last 10 matches... just for comparison)
My votes:
Julio Cesar - no work, no vote
Zanetti 8 - Perfect! It just shows to everyone who was still doubting, that he should never ever again play anywhere else then on the right/left back position and especially not in the midfield.
Lucio 6 - A little better than in the last matches, but still not the best Lucio
Samuel 6 - Between the 5,5 for the goal and the 6,5 for stopping awesomely the action where there was 2 to 1.
Chivu 6 - Solid as left back and center back
Nagatomo 6.5 - Brought thre freshness and showed the difference between a defensive leftback and an offensive one. Brought the pressure offensively and finally gave more space to Zarate to work his magic.
Obi 7 - He's getting better and better. He's growing fast as Poli (who's having a rest now) did before. He improved his ball control very much.
Poli 6 - Did not shine, but still good. Played for too short of a time to get a better vote.
Cambiasso 6 - Solid game, willful, propositive but still lacking the explosivness and movement, because the younger opponents just outrun him sometimes.
Stankovic 6.5 - Today he was connecting the game faboulously, he was dropping long balls all over the pitch, but It must be said that after 30 minutes per half he becomes static and starts to play from a static position. Probably breathing through gills even now in the dressing room. ;-)
Zarate 6 - Good game, getting better. Some good and some bad moves.
Alvarez 6 - A really good player who knows how to play ball and as soon as he moves into the center gets really dangerous, especially with one-touch play and long shots BUT... he should never play on any wing position, ever. He's just too slow for that and practically all his best abilities are the direct opposite of the ones needed to play as a winger forward. He can become a really good player, but should play as far from the out line as possible.
Milito 7 - Every balls sent to him is his. He does not lose any ball, backheel passes, passes in the deep, dribbling, explosivness... okay, 3 clear chances blown away, but 2 goals - and that's what's his main job. El Principe is definitely our best striker!
Stramaccioni 8 - As against Genoa he got all the decisions right.
-He was right to play Alvarez instead of the useless Forlan (even If I hate to see the Argentine on that position, he was more useful there then the Uruguayan, who's even less right for that position).
-He was right to start with Obi
-He was right to move Chivu to CB and insert Nagatomo on LB (who then got us the penalty). Chivu then controlled easily Destro and Brienza who became docile puppies - and here I say again that Lucio and Samuel SHOULD NOT PLAY TOGETHER EVER AGAIN: they are both slow and if we do not want to play bunker defending, catenaccio style (which is the only thing they could play well together) and we want to play offensively, than we need a player that can run faster than these guys. I'm sorry, but the both are too slow to play with a so offensively positioned defensive line where everybody outruns them (Destro was going past them every time practically).
-He is right to insist on Zarate who gives us width in our playstyle and gives us more offensive possibilites. The guy is getting more confident from game to game and now I can even watch him the whole game without cussing him every time he touches the ball.
-He was right to give rest to Guarin since we'll need a pitbull against Udinese in our midfield if we want to dream about a possibility to get some points in that match.
I don't know, maybe I'm just really impressed with the (small, but really clear) improvements that Strama brought, but I really want to see the glass half-full today. I see that the team is slowly evolving into something with a sense.
