Inter Spent In Excess Of €200m On Transfers

When it comes to incoming transfers, Inter spent a grand total of €217.3 million.

Inter’s incoming transfer business was as follows: Romelu Lukaku €74.1 million (discounted value €67.2 million, €6 million was agents’ compensation); Achraf Hakimi (Real Madrid), €43 million (discounted value €40.5 million) Nicolò Barella (Cagliari), €40.5 million (discounted value €40.050 million); Christian Eriksen (Tottenham), €27.5 million (discounted value €26.998 million, €7.5 million was agents’ fees); Ionut Radu (Genoa), €10.6 million (discounted value €10.55 million); Lucien Agoume (Sochaux), €4.5 million.

Moreover, the financial statements confirm what it cost Inter to terminate the contracts of Kwadwo Asamoah and Andrea Romano as well as the money paid to both Diego Godin and Samuele Longo when they left the club. Inter paid Godin €2.1 million, Asamoah €557,000, Longo €538,000 and Romano €243,000.

So 85.6 million on players we never used and will not use..... + how much does Eriksen make 7.5 million a season or more? + 2.5 million in go away hush money... wtf is Romano? had to google him.... a 5 year contract to a dude who never ever ever wore our jersey then a golden handshake? How long was that fking deal !!

now paying fking Godin 2.1 million to FK OFF !!!

"CEO Beppe Marotta will try to spread the salaries over more years to allow the players to still obtain high wages but helping the budget to breathe during the coronavirus crisis."

ROFL, more of the same shit

Renewing with players like Alessandro Bastoni, Lautaro Martinez, Stefan de Vrij, Roberto Gagliardini, Nicolò Barella, Danilo D’Ambrosio and Aleksandar Kolarov are mentioned as decisive and diplomatic steps for the Nerazzurri.

:lol::lol::lol:

"The Chinese government has stopped the possibility of linking company names to football clubs, affecting the economic strategies at Inter.
A difficult year with the coronavirus pandemic and football behind closed doors, the new limitations from the Chinese government towards the world of football means Suning are facing a new crisis."

We are poor

Yeah, this blows. I was hoping someone like Lenovo was going to give us a huge payday.

At some point Suning will have to sell the club and cash in some profits. Due to political shit, it may be soon enough. Hopefully it's not to a hedge fund or some clueless American-Italian that thinks calcio is just softcore NFL money making. Hopefully the examples of Roma and Fiorentina will stop people from going that way.

Ideally it'd be a group of some ultra high profile Italian businessmen, but they won't be cooperating very nicely with each other. I am really hopeful that there'll be some personality to rally some top gear Interisti like Moratti junior, Tronchetti Provera, Benetton, Armani's nephew if he gets a big chunk of that wealth and/or some other names and lead the club the way it should be. Otherwise we'll probably end up in another Thohir or Milan's Chinese situation if Suning decides to just leave at the first possible offer they get. As long as they contain any financial drain of the club, they better stay put until a proper succession is in place.

Serie A in trouble as The Revenue Agency blocks Growth Decree
By Football Italia staff

Serie A clubs will be heavily affected by the directives from the Revenue Agency, who are shattering the plans of Italian teams counting on taking advantage of the Growth Decree.

The Italian clubs were given a fiscal boost on the transfer market when the Growth Decree made calcio a tax haven for foreign talent and had concrete effects on the club’s budgets and balance sheets.

The Revenue Agency blocked the tax discount of 50 per cent on the gross salaries of players and coaches from abroad and the block will be valid until the enactment of the implementing decree by the Government.

The Government are yet to announce their position on the matter, but the Revenue Agency are set to block the effects of the growth decree and the tax discount of 50 per cent. It will also apply for those who haven’t lived in Italy for the last three years and move their fiscal residency to the country for at least two years.
Without diving too far into the bureaucracy of the blocked Growth Decree, Il Corriere dello Sport explains the impact this turnaround could have on Serie A clubs.

Juventus had benefited from the relief with the salaries of Cristiano Ronaldo, Matthijs de Ligt, Adrien Rabiot, Danilo and Aaron Ramsey.

The tax relief block will cost Milan for their deals with Rafael Leao, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Leo Duarte, Ante Rebic, Simon Kjaer and Alexis Saelemaekers.

Inter are heavily affected too, as the Growth Decree helped them save on heavy salaries for players like Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen and Achraf Hakimi.

Whilst Roma will suffer an impact for the signings of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pedro Rodriugez, Chris Smalling, Borja Mayoral and Pau Lopez.

Fucking Italy and their bureaucracy :palm: if it wasn`t for the state and public service corruption, I would be living in this incredibly beautiful country.

I hope this will be cleared out soon, makes the whole country look like a joke! You build your market strategy based on this, bring players from the EPL and then :chan:

Inter and Juve could owe over 20m each

Inter would be the worst affected Serie A club by the possible annulment of the Growth Decree, forced to pay an extra €23.2m, with Juventus owing €21.37m and Milan €7.05m.

The Revenue Agency (the Italian version of the IRS or Inland Revenue) ruled this week that the tax loophole for businesses bringing in foreign talent at a 50 per cent discount on gross salaries was not applicable.

Considering this started in 2019 and is due to expire in February, there’s a race against time for the Government to patch up the gap with a new decree or see Serie A clubs face a massive tax bill in two months’ time.

Calciomercato.com calculated the various salaries agreed for talent coming in from abroad since 2019 and found that Inter would be the worst hit with a bill worth €23.32m.

A good €5.76m of that would be just for coach Antonio Conte, who was brought in from Chelsea for his €12m per year wages.

Romelu Lukaku, Christian Eriksen, Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Achraf Hakimi and Arturo Vidal are the players whose salaries were given a 50 per cent tax cut.

Juventus aren’t far behind, as the decree would save them €21.37m from the wages of Matthijs de Ligt, Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey, Alvaro Morata, Arthur Melo, Danilo and Weston McKennie.

The other clubs are less on the hook, with Napoli at €8.62m, Roma €7.92m and Milan €7.05m.

I cannot understand how they can change the tax benefit RETROACTIVELY. Shutting the benefit off immediately is just fine, but isn't collecting taxes retroactively after a tax law change like fucking illegal in any western nation?

We are indeed ROYALLY fucked if we need to pay those taxes. Zhang needs to contact Agnelli and they need to stop that, they need to object that.

Wasnt that perfectly common in Spain? Not only that they retro changed the laws, they also prosecuted people for breaking that laws too.

Like every high profile player/manager had some tax problems there

Is this Chinese name issue only relating to Chinese clubs, or will it impact Inter as well? Are they de facto banning corporate sponsorship of football clubs from Chinese companies? Anyone got any handle on this re how it impacts Inter, or does it mainly only impact Suning via Jiangsu?

The Growth Decree debacle sucks. Its a double whammy which Inter did not need during this pandemic crisis. If the sponsorship from China is also banned (as implied above), that could be the final straw that broke the camel's back.

Top 10 football clubs with the biggest debt in 2020
https://acefootball.com/football-news/football-clubs-debt-2020/

These numbers are incorrect. Our audited financial statements disagree with the totals presented: https://www.inter.it/media/downloads/2020/2020_09_28_11_24_26Financial%20Results%20of%20Inter%20Media%20and%20Communication_Fiscal%20Year2019-20.pdf

Besides, gross debt is a meaningless number unless taken in context. You can have 400B in debt but it doesn't matter if you produce the revenue that United does.
