Nobody is untouchable! I understand the sentiment and I share it! These are the players we discovered and developed and with them become relevant again! But the club is bigger that any player!

I played don Beppe and I made a scenario! Pretty realistic, I assume.
We sell Lautaro to Atletico for a big sum and RdP. We buy a new forward with that money (Scamacca). Dybala comes also.
We sell Skrniar to Tottenham for a big sum. And replaced him with Bremer. We bring also Asllani (vice Brozo).

With 2 moves we upgraded the squad. We bring 3 necessary players (Scamacca, RdP, Asllani) for the positions we need to reinforce, but also the direct replacement are better. If I take off the back and blue glasses: Dybala&Bremer are better than Lautaro&Skrniar - every day of the week.

This is just an exemple. I don't know how feasable it is. But the whole idea that we are screwed, if we sell one of our "untouchable" players, is flawed.
We really too naive if we think the rest of money to reinvest..... Maybe Suning reinvest those money........... by bringing Cavani and Acerbi and the rest........ directly to Nanjing, Suning HQ!

Why is Suning still hesitant to sell the club? because Suning needs our club to recover their business losses!

what the fuck happened to Lukaku's 100 mil sale from last year? 2 big players sold last year when only 1 was needed
This is why I was against the Lukaku sale immediately and stayed against it til the end. In theory that was a great sale but I knew two things, that money would be invested poorly and it wouldn't count towards player sales moving forwards.

As we saw, we spent it poorly on Correa. And as I expected, that sale didn't do anything to change Sunings mind on selling players. We were always going to sell one great player each window. Lukaku was just an added gift for Suning after the necessary sale of Hakimi. That Lukaku money could have saved us from losing another key player. Instead, Suning made a bad investment in Correa and then pocketed the other 70 million. The 70 million that should be saving us from losing Bastoni right now.

Say Lukaku was never sold. There is absolutely zero chance Suning would be asking for nearly 150 million this summer. We could've kept Lukaku, won another Scudetto, then sold him this year for 70 million instead of 100. Obviously Lukaku asking to leave isn't Sunings fault, but everything stated in the first two paragraphs is.

The Lukaku money went towards the 900m in debt the club has or whatever the actual number is.

Selling our top players isn't a short-term thing. They need to do it every year or else the club defaults to Oaktree, which is what Suning is trying to avoid. They need to pay off that massive loan with its interest to keep the club but im willing to bet it gets defaulted anyway.

This club literally needs someone to buy it and put money into it but no sane organization is willing to do that with a 1bn asking price. If suning was going to sell it would've been last year. Now they're going to try to hang on for as long as possible given their financial situation back in China.

Get used to this.

You are right Debt - 461, should pay 293 before 20.05.2024

Russian and Chinese bombers flew together during Biden's visit to Japan. Which indicates that the financial situation in China will deteriorate sharply.
Zhang's family has brought three trophies in the last 2 seasons, but it's better to part with them now. I think Zhang would sell the club if offered 1.2 billion dollars.

I have a question, we found out that In winter Skriniar rejected offer from Tottenham.

What if core players do the same? What if Barella, Skriniar, Bastoni, Lautaro, Brozo keep rejecting? how they can sell?

At some point we d simply run out of money.....
People need to understand that suning is not selling players to enrich them selfes their doing it so that the club can keep on paying it s bills and not run into bankruptcy.

Yes it s partially a homemade problem but still, unless we find a new source of income we sadly have to sell players to keep the club going.

If anything, you would think Milan is more appealing because of their lack of debt. I wonder if there taking player valuations into account. Our squad tends to be considered "worth" more.

I meant a different thing, What if Brozo, Bare, Basto, Shriniar and Lautaro say a firm NO to any club coming? What this Chinese will do?

An why we need to understand? this is not an usual company selling a beer, this is a club with millions of supporters around the world, they suffer seeing this mess.
So if they run out of money THEY MUST GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE.
Moratti was not able to fund the club and left, Tohir understood that it was not his business and left, IT IS TIME FOR THEM.

Of course mathematically club will run by selling players and what Inter and we get? Fiorentina level, that's all.

they cleared our debt when they took the club over, but since then, with the CCP changes, they've been unable to put money into Inter.

That means the only way we're able to cover losses is by raising debt, which we then use to cover those losses.

Suning were very good for Inter up until the capital controls came in. Since then they've been trying to do what they can.

@.h.

Do you know roughly what is the debt we are carrying right now?

I actually appreciate what they've done for us, but it's time for both parties to move on now imo.

Not really. Its a messy picture. I'd guess at least like 400m though, between Oaktree+Bonds. Cant remember the exact figures. + There's any debt that hasnt been converted to equity yet that is owed to Suning, which may be 0.

I'm not familiar with football contracts so take this with a grain of salt. But in American sports a player has to have a clause written into their contract that gives them the right to say no to a trade. That's generally reserved for the best players to allow management more flexibility with the roster. I'm willing to bet Bastoni as the youngest and least tenured Inter player doesn't have that. He may not have a choice if football contracts run in a similar manner.

Thats not how it works in football

People (in Europe) have many employment rights - included in that is that Bastoni (or anyone) cant be forced into signing contracts they dont want to. That was a core part of the Bosman ruling.

Any player can refuse a transfer. Club has no control over that. That's why we pay golden handshakes - e.g. JM's salary is redduced vs what he got t Inter, so we have to compensate him for the loss for him to say yes.
