In the long run, Financial fair play might be a good thing for us: how many other teams can count on a potentially enormous fan base like the Chinese one? Million of people in China will start following us, many of them will become Inter supporters. There is room for a great increase in our revenues.
OK. You make it sound like Chelsea real barca etc don't already have massive followings there. Inter and Italy in general are really fucking late to the China game and we will never catch up for that. Also, how many shirts do you think we will see because of that? The direct revenue from international fans comes in television rights (collective bargaining) and shirt sales. We don't sell all that many shirts as it is because we've always been awful at commercials, you think suddenly our new found 100 billion loyalist Chinese fans are gonna buy loads of genuine shirts when our ultras buy them from the fake vendors outside the stadium? Cmon

If you want to sell shirts you have to have a strong fanbase in either Europe, North America or Middle east. IMO, these are the regions which would buy authentic shirts. Sadly, Inter doesn't have a strong fan base in any of these regions.

Doesn't matter if the entire population of China and India are Inter fans when everybody in these countries can't afford your jerseys or pay monthly subscription to watch you.

Hi guys, haven't been here for a while. I'm really surprised by this purchase, tbh. But I would like to share some info I have.

Suning is from Jiangsu province. I worked there for 2 years, and would say it's the best region I like in China.

Jiangsu province, Zhejiang province and Shanghai together constitute Yangtze River Delta Zone, which is the most thriving and prosperous region in China. On the disposable income ranking of all cities in China, 4 out of top 5 cities are from this region. And it has probably the smallest gap between the towns/villages and urban cities as compared to other regions across China, in terms of income and living standard. What this translates into? Purchase power - as proven by statistics showing them always being Top 1 on the online purchase ranking.

Also this region is more business friendly and less bureaucratic in general. So if you Do want to develop a fan base in China, this is definitely a good starting point.

Do people there watch European or more specifically Italian football? I guess it's always hard due to timezone differences.

Fu Yixiang: "Interisti, the Suning can realize your dreams. And a stadium ... "

Vice President of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce has spoken of the Suning landing the club Inter

of Simona Castellano, @Simo_Castellano June 5, 2016, 21:45

Fu Yixiang, vice president of the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce, spoke to the microphones of Telelombardia, he spoke of Suning and the Inter ownership, which will be made official tomorrow at a conference.
" Suning brings much liquidity, wants to invest in the club a long time and you think of a new structure, could be interested in building a stadium property. Inter want to invest to achieve a great development in Europe. In the Chinese club he has spent one hundred million. It is a club that invests. 500 million for the Inter represent an easy task for the Suning, it has a lot of cash, which are 70 to 500 million. The Suning can realize the dreams of the Inter fans, "his words.

as a 18 years Inter fan, I follow inter games since 1997, I did watch those afternoon games during my junior/senior high school time (will be around 10 - 11 pm in china).
More than 50% of inter games a year at university.
A lot of my friends merely miss a single games of their favorite team everyweek....

Yes, but EPL has the most friendly time schedule for Chinese fans, so most of the young fans are following EPL teams. The fan base of Serie A teams are generally in 30s/40s, so it's quite difficult to follow every match, especially some really late matches played at around 3am...

You fuckers think Chinese don't buy real shirts? Well fuck yous.

I have around 20 authentic shirts over the years, one per year ever since I followed this team.

Racist cunts, you think we can't afford your pathetic cheap shirts? Think again.

Last time I've been to Europe, Chinese visitors there were richer than the Europeans themselves. Don't know about the general population in China though.
