They got themselves into this predicament last January when instead of finding clubs for Iturbe and that dude they bought from CSKA for 15m on a permanent basis at a decent/modest fee they decided to push their luck by letting them go to clubs with a high sum as an option. It's better to get a guaranteed 8m than a possible 14m imo. They've got so much dead-weight at their club right now that they can't get rid of. Dead-weight that is on high wages too.

Apparently Pjanic waived his right to 20% of his transfer fee. Roma wanted 38m euros, but Pjanic waived his right to 20% of it, so the 30m that Juve bid was enough to cover Roma's 80% of the 38m.

I don't know if you guys have been paying attention but Koulibaly has made some comments that have made DeLaurentis extremely upset. Here are the comments:

“I was happy to sign a five-year contract with them [Napoli] —I did very good things this season and there are proposals on the table,” he said of Napoli’s offer. “Big clubs want to sign me and there is no sign of a renewal with Napoli. The negotiations for a contract extension have stalled and they never wanted to discuss with us.”

When asked specifically about Chelsea and Conte, the 24-year-old admitted it’s an option he’d consider. “No, I have not talked to him [Conte] but that may be soon,” said Koulibaly. “If nothing happens at Napoli, I will start to have contact with other clubs.”

Here is DeLaurentis' response to the comments. Some slightly threatening tones.

“I had thought Koulibaly was a good man. The moment I realise you and your agent haven’t read the contracts properly before signing them, I cannot tolerate that.
